Egyébként később allergiás lett a nyílvessző suhanásának hangjára! :))
Hát akkor még valóban lehetett rutin. Akkor, ha kimentem lőni, folyamatosan lőttem 200-300-at (30 vesszővel 10 kört). Sajnos most sokkal kevesebb időm van rá. Vagy csak megöregedtem ...
Hi! I can't chose which I prefer. Two different bows, both very nice. The Avar is much faster, but resonating more, the hungarian is slower, but smother shooter, and the grip is more comfortable.
The other thing: As I know, there was no thumbring found in old hungarian tombs due to 100s of years, but we know that all nomad folks of this tradition used thumbring (mongols, etc). My opinion is: they may use thumbring as usual, but surely there might be some, who shot in another way.
I use a three fing glove when shooting. Lajos Kassai doesn't use anything, but he uses a very light bow - I guess 25 lbs draw weight, or sg. due to his horse accident in tha past. He was wuonded on the back, so he is unable to shoot with strong bows. Shooting with a 25 lbs bow is not painfull even if you shoot without any finger protection.
My bow is an older AVAR bow, made of epoxy. But works great! Grozer's newer bows are very good! I recommend one of the newer hungarian, wich are fast, very durable, and look very authentic! The HUN needs a little more practice, due to it's asimmetric form. The Avar is a more resonating one, but a beautifull shaped bow. I can think that the hungarian biocomposite is a very good, fast bow! I have never used one, but what is written on the website, looks good!
May be it's a bit shakey with a long bow. I do not know, becouse I have never tried this with a long bow. But actually: I have an AVAR bow, wich is a more resonating one as regular, but after a while I became used to this, and I can hold up to 5-6 arrows - OK there is a little sock, or resonating, but it works anyway. But the Avar is a composite type, nomad, reflex bow. The longbow is a totally different story.
Hey! Buy a reflex bow for fast loading - You'll love it! :)
If You are a right handed person, You must hold the bow in the left hand, and pull the string with your right hand! If You are left handed, You hold the bow in the right hand. This is the basic rule, but if the opposite way is much easier for you - it's up to You! Good luck!
yeah thank you. i am left handed but i hold a bow in the right hand and shoot with my left hand. but the problem is that i never had bow lessons but i really like bows and i wanna ask you for some beginners tips please. i have bouht a nomad bow. so please give me some tips please.

OK. It's your taste. But don't think shooting fast is unprecise!

Most is fáj a fogam egy Grózer TRH laminált krími tatár íjra!
Sebaj, marad a Koszta féle oldaltegez.
Pl. TRH török, vagy a legújabb: TRH Krími Tatár! Az egy álom!!! A markolat domború mindkét irányban! Nagyon kényelmes.
Folytatom! Tökéletesen passzol a középkori öltözékhez!
This bow is made for max. 29" drawlength - I pulled 30" allways. But now I use another bow (AVAR) with the same 30", even if that bow is also made for max 29". Grozer bows are great!!!
One can shoot just as fast with the ring. I began using it last September, and I already beat my summer fire rate of 14 arrows/minute. I guess the greatest time loss happens at the moment you put the arrow on the string.
The draw weight is up to you, but if you are beginner I recommend not over 40-45 lbs (for man)! Prices vary country to country. You can check on the Internet!I use to make my own arrows myself - costs half the price, but fletching jig was needed, wich costs about a price of 8 arows in Hungary!
minimal skills of turkish archer was to shot third arrwow when first reached the target on ground and you should see dust afer arrow hit ground. dont say that turkish were slow and hungarians/scyths were fast
I was meaning that shooting fast was not developed by the turkish archers. There was fast shooting long before them. But surely they also were fast. - Sorry I was misunderstandable.
quite fast but as u say bow must be soft . other wise no chance of pulling with 2 fıngers . as now i dont have a horse so!! i cant pectice with horse !!
Lajos Kassai uses very light bows, becouse he had an accident, his back had been harmed seriously, and since that date he is unable to pull stonger bows. Before that accident he used stronger bows! Surely the light bow helps him to shoot 16 arrows or more in series.
i know hungarians avarian turks all come from same place and same tactics are used. as we say here hungarians stoped us in europe. becase they used the same tactics we use . using calavary tactics.
they are composite bows small but very strong mostly made of mule horns kınd of a glue and dried leather.
nice to see a person who knows about bows.
and our style is alittle difrent than him. he puts arow to the left of the bow and makes him slow
I think you know Lajos kassai, who is placing the arrows on the left side of the bow, and can shoot 9 arrows in 16 seconds from the back of a ridding horse!!! OK, he uses aluminium arrows, but anyway, he is fast! I was able to shoot 5 wooden arrows(11/32) in 11 seconds, but not from the back of a horse.
Lajos Kassai uses light arrows and a very light bow of I think 25-30 lbs. He loads very fast, that's why he can soot in every 1,5 second, and he shoots unbelievably precisely!!! He is world champion in fast shooting for many-many years! I appreciate him although I do not shoot in his shooting style!
Hi! Just one thing. Shooting fast is not a turkish thing. This is an old scytian, hunnish, avarian, and hungarian method of bow-fight. The old hungarians used probably max. 80 lbs bows. They were shooting the enemy first from very long distance: I know an avarish bow, with that a guy could shoot up to 380 m with wooden arches. This bow was 80 lbs strong. People at the hungarian conquest time were may be stronger than we are.
I think that performance is possible only with a high performance bow and with special arrows, bareled, and very lights. That what the turks was using for distance shooting.
I have a high performane bow at 86 lbs draw weitght and I have shot about 320 meters with a very good bamboo arrow. So I doubt that what you say is realy true.
I think back then people were stronger....I saw on the History Channel (USA TV) that the English Longbow had a 150 lb pull! And also they said the horseback bows used by the Magyars, Huns and Mongols also had a 150 lb pull. And they said these short, horseback bows could outshoot the Longbow by 100 yards. But they said the Hun bow was the least accurate, because the bottom part of the bow was shorter than the top to allow easier horseback shooting.
I am not sure I would take what they say on TV without a doubt. Csaba Grózer, who is a very good bowmaker says, that the hun bow is a very accurate shooting one! More than the hungarian he makes. The other thing: Shooting from horseback with a 150 lbs bow - how can that be accurate pointing?
I agree with you..that is just what they said...but as for accuracy...all the Huns or the Magyars had to do was to shoot into the crowd...armies back then were shoulder to shoulder...and the enemy archers couldn't hit the Huns or Magyars so easily...they were spread apart, and it is icredibly difficult to hit a moving, zig zagging target
And record for distance throwers the record here is 844 meters in İstanbul . For this guy he cant pul 65 lb bow like that. not that fast. this is like the mp5 of those days. fast and short ranged. and long distance ones are slower but had a more distance.
to be a distance thrower you must past 1500 feet nearly 550 meters standard.
i hope this would help you guys in archery info of Turks alittle bit.
hi, he is fast this is a old turkish tecnik of bow using. when the europes armies were on foot and walk in groups of 500 or 1000. turkish horse calavery ride and throw bow on them from 50 60 meters. no aim to be taken. so when 100 horse calavery throws bow like this in minutes time thousands of arrows fall on foot soldiers. that is why he pulls the bow that fast.
his bow must be 40 lb horse archers. the armour penetrating archers and distance throwers.
if you think this is a logical question, let me ask you what's the point of shooting a bow anyway? Isn't it about self improovement, concentration, or fun? Or just because you choose to?
I have done with a 65 lbs bow, Truely it is hard to shoot 10-15 arrows continuosely. If you are strong, you can do that. 75lbs? - why use that strong bow? May be for hunting. In that case there is no need shooting 5-6 arrows fast. Just one, but precicely!
First it was hard for me too to use multiple arrows holding to the grip. Kassai bows are made with a little flat and wide grip, this can make it a little bit hard. First I was busy with the technik of shooting, and fast loading, and not with the speed of the loading. Go on with practicing, and you will see the result soon! Good luck, and thanks for your comment!
If your bowhand is your left hand, hold the arrows in a way that they are crossing the bow at the front side of the grip. The nocks should be on top, to the right from the grip, the tips down, left from the grip. Hold the arrows just under the plume.
this looks soooo cooooOOooOooOOl!

Sebaj, marad a Koszta féle oldaltegez.

Szia!

Eisenrot 3 years ago
Szia!

Sevena878 3 years ago
bjdhgj 3 years ago
De nagyon szépen csinálod gratula hozzá :)
Nekem Kassai íjam van (38 font)
Sevena878 3 years ago
bjdhgj 3 years ago
Most Kassai Medvém van.
Sevena878 3 years ago
Sevena878 3 years ago
Pl. TRH török, vagy a legújabb: TRH Krími Tatár! Az egy álom!!! A markolat domború mindkét irányban! Nagyon kényelmes.
bjdhgj 3 years ago
Folytatom! Tökéletesen passzol a középkori öltözékhez!
bjdhgj 3 years ago

so you dont aim and shoot for archery?
Darcis12321 3 years ago
@GaM3rDarriN uhm no...not really..u aim with guns.you aim with a bow. a gun shoots a buullet, and bow shoots an arrow...pretty simillar.both hard
SpankyNick 1 year ago
Yes. But you will never feel what is to shoot with a bow. it is something totally different. The bow is alive. and deathly. And extraordinary

what draw do you have?
Unravler32 3 years ago
This bow is made for max. 29" drawlength - I pulled 30" allways. But now I use another bow (AVAR) with the same 30", even if that bow is also made for max 29". Grozer bows are great!!!

One can shoot just as fast with the ring. I began using it last September, and I already beat my summer fire rate of 14 arrows/minute. I guess the greatest time loss happens at the moment you put the arrow on the string.

Archery is so fascinating, in my opinion.
I wonder what it would have been like, to live like our Magyar ancestors back in the day. :p
TuzesViz 4 years ago
The draw weight is up to you, but if you are beginner I recommend not over 40-45 lbs (for man)! Prices vary country to country. You can check on the Internet!I use to make my own arrows myself - costs half the price, but fletching jig was needed, wich costs about a price of 8 arows in Hungary!

Practice makes the master.
I haven't even finished my first and if I did I would probably seldom use it because I wouldn't want to wear it down.
But who knows? Maybe I would use it a lot.
Have fun making bows and shooting them.

the one that you use at the beginning.

As I know there is no historical record of fast shooting or training for fast shooting.
My opinion is that is a modern view of archery, something like machine gun shooting but with a bow.
If will have 50 arrows or even 100 before a battle, surrely I will not shot fast, but careful aiming.
And not with a 30 lbs bow.

minimal skills of turkish archer was to shot third arrwow when first reached the target on ground and you should see dust afer arrow hit ground. dont say that turkish were slow and hungarians/scyths were fast
dorisijanek 4 years ago
I was meaning that shooting fast was not developed by the turkish archers. There was fast shooting long before them. But surely they also were fast. - Sorry I was misunderstandable.
bjdhgj 4 years ago
quite fast but as u say bow must be soft . other wise no chance of pulling with 2 fıngers . as now i dont have a horse so!! i cant pectice with horse !!

kokoro667 4 years ago
Lajos Kassai uses very light bows, becouse he had an accident, his back had been harmed seriously, and since that date he is unable to pull stonger bows. Before that accident he used stronger bows! Surely the light bow helps him to shoot 16 arrows or more in series.
bjdhgj 4 years ago
kormanyellenes 4 years ago
so we put it wright side of the bow and so u can do it faster.=)
kokoro667 4 years ago
i know hungarians avarian turks all come from same place and same tactics are used. as we say here hungarians stoped us in europe. becase they used the same tactics we use . using calavary tactics.
they are composite bows small but very strong mostly made of mule horns kınd of a glue and dried leather.
nice to see a person who knows about bows.
and our style is alittle difrent than him. he puts arow to the left of the bow and makes him slow
kokoro667 4 years ago
I think you know Lajos kassai, who is placing the arrows on the left side of the bow, and can shoot 9 arrows in 16 seconds from the back of a ridding horse!!! OK, he uses aluminium arrows, but anyway, he is fast! I was able to shoot 5 wooden arrows(11/32) in 11 seconds, but not from the back of a horse.
bjdhgj 4 years ago
Lajos Kassai uses light arrows and a very light bow of I think 25-30 lbs. He loads very fast, that's why he can soot in every 1,5 second, and he shoots unbelievably precisely!!! He is world champion in fast shooting for many-many years! I appreciate him although I do not shoot in his shooting style!
bjdhgj 4 years ago
People at the hungarian conquest time were may be stronger than we are.
bjdhgj 4 years ago
I think that performance is possible only with a high performance bow and with special arrows, bareled, and very lights. That what the turks was using for distance shooting.
I have a high performane bow at 86 lbs draw weitght and I have shot about 320 meters with a very good bamboo arrow. So I doubt that what you say is realy true.
bigeyeshot 4 years ago
I think back then people were stronger....I saw on the History Channel (USA TV) that the English Longbow had a 150 lb pull! And also they said the horseback bows used by the Magyars, Huns and Mongols also had a 150 lb pull. And they said these short, horseback bows could outshoot the Longbow by 100 yards. But they said the Hun bow was the least accurate, because the bottom part of the bow was shorter than the top to allow easier horseback shooting.
leeorth 4 years ago
I am not sure I would take what they say on TV without a doubt. Csaba Grózer, who is a very good bowmaker says, that the hun bow is a very accurate shooting one! More than the hungarian he makes. The other thing: Shooting from horseback with a 150 lbs bow - how can that be accurate pointing?
bjdhgj 4 years ago
I agree with you..that is just what they said...but as for accuracy...all the Huns or the Magyars had to do was to shoot into the crowd...armies back then were shoulder to shoulder...and the enemy archers couldn't hit the Huns or Magyars so easily...they were spread apart, and it is icredibly difficult to hit a moving, zig zagging target
leeorth 4 years ago
And record for distance throwers the record here is 844 meters in İstanbul . For this guy he cant pul 65 lb bow like that. not that fast. this is like the mp5 of those days. fast and short ranged. and long distance ones are slower but had a more distance.
to be a distance thrower you must past 1500 feet nearly 550 meters standard.
i hope this would help you guys in archery info of Turks alittle bit.
kokoro667 4 years ago
hi, he is fast this is a old turkish tecnik of bow using. when the europes armies were on foot and walk in groups of 500 or 1000. turkish horse calavery ride and throw bow on them from 50 60 meters. no aim to be taken. so when 100 horse calavery throws bow like this in minutes time thousands of arrows fall on foot soldiers. that is why he pulls the bow that fast.
his bow must be 40 lb horse archers. the armour penetrating archers and distance throwers.
kokoro667 4 years ago
so, that's the answer for the strong bow question.
bigeyeshot 4 years ago
But why to shot fast? What's the point?
bigeyeshot 4 years ago
if you think this is a logical question, let me ask you what's the point of shooting a bow anyway? Isn't it about self improovement, concentration, or fun? Or just because you choose to?
JuliusAndan 4 years ago
because he CAN that's why.
It's like asking why longbow oz hops on one leg on a beaver hunt
loki1066 4 years ago
I doubt you can do that with a 75 lbs bow.
bigeyeshot 4 years ago
I have done with a 65 lbs bow, Truely it is hard to shoot 10-15 arrows continuosely. If you are strong, you can do that. 75lbs? - why use that strong bow? May be for hunting. In that case there is no need shooting 5-6 arrows fast. Just one, but precicely!
bjdhgj 4 years ago
nice form, nice bow. I shoot a bow from kassai and still learning how to grip multiple arrows in my bow hand. Any tips?
diegocn123 5 years ago
First it was hard for me too to use multiple arrows holding to the grip. Kassai bows are made with a little flat and wide grip, this can make it a little bit hard. First I was busy with the technik of shooting, and fast loading, and not with the speed of the loading. Go on with practicing, and you will see the result soon! Good luck, and thanks for your comment!
János
bjdhgj 5 years ago
If your bowhand is your left hand, hold the arrows in a way that they are crossing the bow at the front side of the grip. The nocks should be on top, to the right from the grip, the tips down, left from the grip. Hold the arrows just under the plume.
