They may have not of been African American but they were still slaves and it was an act of slavery. So before you start bashing someone about their facts being off make sure yours are correct first. You know what this edit really captured. Was when he yelled "50 years ago we'd have you upside down with a fucking fork up your ass." If you watch the original video everyone thought that was funny, and this edit shows people laughing. But the minute he says the N word, that girl in the original was like OMG! and in the edit you see people not laughing. Really shows how retarded people are. People like W.E.B used to say that it is important to use it because it brings out its historical content that should not be forgotten, others want to avoid it altogether because they find it demeaning, and some people like rappers and bunch of comedians use it frivolously, though by saying "nigga", which in its core still faintly relates to W.E.B Dubois.

However, if only a few blacks are using the word on records or comedy shows etc. and it's heard by millions, why aren't they protesting its use and boycotting those who use it? As long as they tolerate the word, regardless of whose speaking it, it's going to stay around. You can intellectualize on it all you want, but that's the simple truth.

I think if "Kramer" would have used the word "nigger" as a punchline in an actual joke it would be on TMZ because they're a bunch of parasites but it wouldn't even come close to being such a big of a story and would be subject to a televised personal apology. The thing became big because he just started ranting on black people while using the word nigger. Not because he happened to mention the word.

I think what we're looking at is a performer who hit it big, became typecast as "Kramer" and is not being allowed to practice his art any more. I think we're seeing a man on the virge of mental collapse. A stand-up comedian has to be very practised in handling hecklers, coming off a ten year run on a TV show left him unskilled in the rigors of stand-up and it crashed down on him.

I think it's bullshit that he apologized to the whole world. He said nigger, and that is offensive to the two men he was saying to in the audience. And those should be the only people he apologizes to. The press and TMZ are 100x worse for making such a big deal of it. Dave Chapelle made a good statement about Kramer at the laugh factory. And how people just love to see others fail. Like when the tigers attacked Sigfred and Roy, that's what people really want to see. It was funny how he said it but it's kinda sad how true it is. Everybody snaps, but Richards doesn't deserve to persecuted the rest of his life for losing his temper with ppl who were trying to bomb his set. Next time I hear "is it because I'm black?"
