Sounds serious. I like the way the second guy fires.
Invative aproach for case ejection, simple & ambidextrous with out need for modification. Although like StealthWasp commented, could have potential problems.
Does it have auto? Not that it seems like a very good idea.
I disagree, what would you expect out of a .308? It is a manly round unlike the 5.56. The reason more and more M14s are being used in Iraq now is that the 5.56 is ineffectual at medium to long range like the 7.62. Furthermore this is a very short barreled and light 7.62, recoil is to be expected.
"Manly,"? Lol. M14s are being brought in as sniper rifles, not as assault rifles, a role which was proven to be quite useless in their capacity, due to recoil and weight. The 7.62mm round is simply too powerful until new firing actions have been adopted to enhance controllability. Also, some 90% of engagements in Iraq are at ranges of less than 100m. Range is not an important issue. Maybe it is on the shooting range, but not in modern battle.

Interresting weapon.
Only one thought.
How will this casing ejection system work in a arctic environment?
Blocking the barrel with snow is a simple task. Looks like the big ejector hole might be even easier.
Any experience with this?

I have no experience in artic environments, though I am sure it would hold up better than the "venerable" M-16.

that is some heavy recoil
wonder what the ballistics look like

Good looking, but obviously way to powerfull, bring it down to 5.56 and it would resulve the stability problem.
