Those dark eyes are the mystery of the East. Fairuz belongs to every age and generation. Like Om Kulthoum, she's ageless. But how absolutely & profoundly gorgeous she looks here. I've seen pictures of her as a little girl and she looked so mysterious and adorable. How lucky her parents were to have her but how much luckier we are in the Arab world and of the Arabic language and song!!! She's the gift of heaven specially sent to us!
Even in these seemingly simpler songs, Fairuz is a legend. I heard a similar song by her son about how money and wealth are unimportant. It seemed to say that life is about love, happiness , harmony and nature. This is the only singer who deserves to live till eternity. She really should be in charge of the keys to the heavenly kingdom.
