Such a wonderful time in history.. Where it was safe to play under the streetlights in the summers, till the wee hours of the morning, while parents and others gathered to play Wahoo or Yahtzee. Of course, it was on a Friday or Saturday night as our father's were working fellas and our mothers were up b4 them.

This music takes me back to my childhood. Supper Time sends me through the annuals of time, back to a small town in Kansas. Mom calling at the door, in the evening. She fed any and all who came to her table. Unplanned guests; she would just start serving what she had ready and continue cooking other things until all were full and happy! Then, she would finally have her dinner from the left-overs. She listened to Jim Reeves all the time, along with many other of her favorite artists.

In the late 60s in the west coast of Scotland I was running a lot of dance venues for teens. had to use my dad (Peter Joseph Gribben) as security - and as part of the package then listen to him in various pubs in Stevenson/Saltcoats . His favorite was "He'll have to go" which he did I'm sure an octave lower than the original. It's taken me over 20 years to buy the Jim reeves original CDs and listen without crying.
