I lived through this. We lost our home, business, cows, cats and everything inside. Still I am grateful that God has blessed us in aquiring all we lost and more. Truly the town profited both materially and spiritually. We all pulled together and recovered. My only concern is that one day it will happen again. God bless us all.
i lived there when i was a baby my grandparents still lived there ht and marie peevy i was staying with them and was there the day of the fire the smoke was so bad that you couldnt even see the sun. my graand father died a little after a year of the fire that day changed me forever and now i am training for firefighting
I was there with the Cisco Fire Department, myself and another fire fighter saved at least 4 homes on our own and with the help of locals. Day I will never forget
Thank you for posting this video. My parents and all of my neighbors lost their homes in this fire. Good news! Most all have recovered and rebuilt; and though you can still see some scars-- the town is looking beautiful again.
This video just dosn't do just for that fire. I was there with the Texas Forest Service and got to see the damage up close and personal. It's a miracle that more lifes weren't lost from that fire.
