Why does it seem that comedians in the last millennium bridged the gap between carefully created art and laughter and sought to bring us together, while today popular comedians are separating the gap between art and laughter and make money by tearing us apart? Carlin, Hicks, Pryor, Bruce...these people's audiences were humans, not drunks, or some niche looking for a cheap way to laugh at themselves! Once again, we've managed to reverse the course of a human ability and send it crashing down.
Quit playing miusic that drowns out what the man is saying. I love piano. I didn't know it was from the Titanic. Didn't watch the movie. I know how it ends!! I want to be able to clearly hear what people are saying. Not have it louder than the man's voice. This goes for all web-sites. What does the author want us to remember, the Piano?!?!?
I did not say stop any music. Just equalize, listen to your selves B4 broadcasting. Unless U really don't wnat us to hear him.
@youdevil6 That's what Bill Hicks wanted. He didn't care about money, or maturity. He just loved life more than most people that say they do. He was the message of the universe, and now he is part of the universe. And he realized who God truely is. May is be back soon!
He will be back. And even stronger. I promise. He wanted us to think of him as not a human, but a ideaology. So that will never die. But RIP Bill Hicks! You were truely the second coming of Jesus.

RIP bill you make me proud to have the name bill and you were an excellent man i am only 15 and you helped to wake me up out of the facade this world projects i and the rest of your fans love you travel well :D
Cool video, but I would have preferred "I Wasn't Born To Follow" playing in the background. Or perhaps an Immortal Technique song...lol (but no, seriously...)
i can tell bill hicks obviously meant something and maybe the editor even shed a few tears while making this video but that piano accompaniment is seriously wrong
wish he didn't have to die when he did.... so unfair

whether one likes the music or not - it is tooo fucking LOUD ... can barely hear Bill
anablic 8 months ago 2
My ears are in duality between Hicks' wise words and an elevator rendition of 'My Heart Will Go On". The music syncs like the Titanic.
