I agree with xpwieki, I'v got a D300 and I think a camera is made for taking pictures. Less noise and more pixels are much more useful than the video capability. That's why I bought a camcorder.

Great camera, but one thing I don't really get is: why does it have options to film? If leaving those feature out to reduce the price (or more pixels) that would be great imho.

@xpwieki I think there's option for film because Canon is including those options, too, and to give indie filmmakers the option of buying a camera with manual lens control, which most camcorders lack, without having to pay up to $3000.

No the 85 /1.4 is a small lens. It seems that there is different lens, at 0:18 it looks like the 18-70 F/3.5-5.6. Just before at 0:13 it looks like the 17-55 F/2.8. But this is only thoughts I have no precise idea!

yeah i just checked some pictures of this 200m, and at a moment in the vid you see it, shortly, from the side. so it is sure that it's the 200m. looks fantastic....

according to the rumours, the d300s and d3000 proved to be true, so are the two new lenses rumoured. so, definitely, if not that the launch date is accurate, the cameras will still exist int he future. D4, D4X, D700X, D400. plus lots of new and upgraded lenses of course.

isn't it supposed to be D750 rather than D700X? there are of course the D40 and D40X, and all the D1,2 and 3 that have the X version, so according to the fact that the D700 is an FX format, it's possible that we're gonna have a D700...
