  • Now THAT is one of the best altima sounds i could infd on youtube. congrats man.

  • My altima sounds better...if you seen my vids you would agree

  • @2strokeboys No.

  • thanks Mike, I can get a vid up, what do you want to see lol

  • hattrick rocks, you should post a new vid with your coilovers

  • sounds good

  • Sounds sick dude. I've done this to numerous cars I've had, including a 96 Maxima, 2000 Eclipse GT, and 99 Camaro Z-28. Sounds as good or better than any exhaust setup costing a lot more. I might be buying a 06 Altima SE-R soon as well and would probably do it to it too. Props!

  • @swimster144 Thanks man, I couldn't find any aftermarket exhausts that I liked, and they were all very expensive, so I just went the custom route, came out better than I had anticipated. Good luck on the SE-R they are nice cars, a number of of SE-R owners run similar exhaust set-ups and seem to be pleased.

  • @vipergts909 Right on. On my cars, I've always removed that main resonator as well, because it helps give it more of that throaty burble. Any idea how different it would sound if I kept that main resonator and just got rid of the mufflers? My only motivation for that would be to keep it slightly quieter (for neighbors), but I have a feeling it would just make it a smoother tone (which is less desirable to me all other things equal - I like the burble) without affecting volume much...

  • @swimster144 Leaving the main resonator on while eliminating the mufflers is a solid option. I had that set-up prior to this one (see my first video). It sounded good, but there was no real burble or pop to it, it was just slightly louder than stock. If you want to be courteous to the neighbors, then I'd suggest starting with eliminating the mufflers first, and keeping the resonator. Having it all removed, it is loud, sounds nice, but it does wake up neighbors haha.

  • @2strokeboys Thanks dick, I'm sure you know how it sounds because you've seen and heard it in person? Ever heard of a crappy camera?

  • oh, nvm, just tips i assume, thought it was mufflers

  • @chauboii : Yeah, its just the dual 4" tips, 2.5" piping from the stock cat back to the dual 4" tips.

  • what muffler? stock?, or non at all

  • @chauboii : No mufflers,

  • i had this done on my car but didnt like it for long commutes

  • @SuperBeatnuts : got it done when I still had a 50 mile round trip commute daily. Never really bothered me. I'll admit its not for everyone, but I don't mind the drone, I've got the trunk dynomatted with 2x layers so that helps somewhat, but not that much :).
