3rd baby, water started leaking a little bit at home and she was born about 20--25 min and she was my biggest at 7 pound 13 oz after we got to the hospital without AROM and 9/9 apgars delivery by 2 midwives. 7 pound 13 0z Not bad for thin little me.

All 3 of my kids were born rapidly. 1st born rapid in a small ER with AROM in 1 hour and 30 mins with 7/9 apgars and soon became a bit ill with suspected sepsis. 2nd born in 1 hour and 30 mins without AROM and was healthy with the cord wrapped around his neck twice with 8/9 apgars.

Get some training on how to do it man. Panic doesn't help anyone. My friend went to get trained for CPR at age 10. They said he was too young and he told them that you're never too young to learn how to save a life. They let him in the class. Seriously, get some training for first aid and infant delivery, it's too late to take the classes once you are in need of the skills.

That just depends on which parent they favor. That's probably not as uncommon as you seem to think. They have a white dad after all, so it wouldn't be impossible for the kids to favor one parent or the other.

Even if it's a re-enactment for tv, you can't deny the actual 911 phonecall audio tape. Did you hear the daughter say "thank-you" to the 911 operator at the end of the call?? Holy cats! In the midst of life and death chaos, and a child still used her manners! Incredible!

They should not be watching movies with birth scenes in it, like this father made them do. It does seem like these children coped with it all right, but this may not be true in every case. Should that child be prepared and know what to do and who to call in an emergency and run the risk of being tramatised? Or should he/she be completely uneducated on the subject, not know what to do, and lose his/her mother as a result? In short, are you saying children shouldn't learn about calling 911?

Why was the husband "away on a business trip" and not there to help his wife (even if the infant was a little early)? you're talking about a very young kid in a traumatic situation. You can only expect so much fast and critical thinking from a child that age. I think the sister was even younger (not sure, havent watched in a while) so that would have complicated matters. And the speaker phone is not always the easiest thing to engage, depending on the phone (these are older models, accidently hanging up, i'm sure, could be a problem)
