now the boy wants to deliiver more babies wow I think he wins an award because I don't know if I could do that. I wonder if someone in his family was a doctor cause it could be in his geanes
Seriously I gotta give props to the kid to take control and using proper terms to the 911 dispatcher. I wouldn't know If I could do what he had done, to help I know I would
3rd baby, water started leaking a little bit at home and she was born about 20--25 min and she was my biggest at 7 pound 13 oz after we got to the hospital without AROM and 9/9 apgars delivery by 2 midwives. 7 pound 13 0z Not bad for thin little me.
All 3 of my kids were born rapidly. 1st born rapid in a small ER with AROM in 1 hour and 30 mins with 7/9 apgars and soon became a bit ill with suspected sepsis. 2nd born in 1 hour and 30 mins without AROM and was healthy with the cord wrapped around his neck twice with 8/9 apgars.
Today Randall would be 27, Johanna would be 25, Justin would be 23, and Brittany would be 15. Randall probably works at his local hospital as an obstetrician in the maternity ward. He and the other 2 siblings may have jobs too, but Brittany would be in high school now. She probably tells her friends how her siblings delivered her.
Hello!Very good story! He was so quickly and he saved his mom and the baby so he was so emergency to delive his mother giving birth and the baby was well so thank you god for it!Nice baby on the end of episode!=)The 12 years old boy becomed gratulations and his father gratulations to him for he was so brave to giving birth baby!=)
There's two episodes- I'd like for you or BeatleMoe to upload- 911 Placenta Eruption (911 I'm Losing The Baby), 911 Blizzard Baby, and It's A Boy. I know how old they are now: Christy is 46. Randall is 27, Johnna is 25, Justin is 23, and Brittany is 15. Randy probably works as an obstetrician in the maternity ward at a hospital. Brittany probably told her friends as she grew up that her siblings delivered her.
Get some training on how to do it man. Panic doesn't help anyone. My friend went to get trained for CPR at age 10. They said he was too young and he told them that you're never too young to learn how to save a life. They let him in the class. Seriously, get some training for first aid and infant delivery, it's too late to take the classes once you are in need of the skills.
I couldn't help laughing when he used the word "cervix". I didn't know what the word meant until I was 15. Clever kid. He'll be a great doctor someday.
That just depends on which parent they favor. That's probably not as uncommon as you seem to think. They have a white dad after all, so it wouldn't be impossible for the kids to favor one parent or the other.
2 did look asian and 2 looked white. The newborn looked asian and the other kid looked asian. That happens with all mixtures where some look all white and some look like the other parent's race. Even with black/white mixtures. :)
This was always one of my favorite episodes. Since he's only two years or so younger than me I wonder if he did end up becoming an obstetrician. Dr. Randle King.
Births, in my opinion, are pretty much the worst and most disgusting way to bring life into this world, but man, that kid handled it better than some doctors I know!
Amazing, absolutely amazing! Way to go, kids! Both the boy and girl!!
Even if it's a re-enactment for tv, you can't deny the actual 911 phonecall audio tape. Did you hear the daughter say "thank-you" to the 911 operator at the end of the call?? Holy cats! In the midst of life and death chaos, and a child still used her manners! Incredible!
And - healthy baby and a healthy mama. What more could you ask for?? :-)
Wow he is so smart!!!! i couldn't have done that!!!!!!! most of the time when kids call 911 there like oh this is just a joke but i think it doesn't matter how yung you are when you call 911 is because this boy called 911 once and they didn't belive him and his mother died!!!! so i think peopel should give kids credited for more then they do

Wow! People rated my comments with a -7! I still don't think that children should have to go through this, nor should they even be inside a birthing room. They should not be watching movies with birth scenes in it, like this father made them do. It does seem like these children coped with it all right, but this may not be true in every case. Others may have been traumatized.
So what if it were an extremely critical situation and no one else was around except a child? Like, lets say a child's mother collapsed and stopped breathing. Should that child be prepared and know what to do and who to call in an emergency and run the risk of being tramatised? Or should he/she be completely uneducated on the subject, not know what to do, and lose his/her mother as a result? In short, are you saying children shouldn't learn about calling 911?
Back when I was in the 8th Grade, I thought I wanted to be a 911 dispatcher. I got to interview a dispatcher and incidentally, she just happened to be a coworker of the dispatcher featured in this story. I got to talk to him a little as well!
oh yeh definatly...but when i was twelve (2 years ago) i sounded 16 on the phone or possibly 18 so they would say "i heard a man on the other line of the phone and i expected him to be able to drive her to the hospitaly but send out units anyway" lol but i would be able to drive the car...wish they would let me drive... sad phace =(
I'm sorry, but a 12 year old should not have to go through this. He is likely to be traumatized by this experience. Why was the husband "away on a business trip" and not there to help his wife (even if the infant was a little early)? Sounds like an irresponsible father to me, either that, or he has never heard of condoms!
Roguegirl29 writes, "He doesn't seemed to be traumatized by the experience. He even said that he wanted to deliver more baby." It is amazing that the people on here cannot even write grammatical sentences. "He wants to deliver more baby" doesn't make sense. It should have read, "He wants to deliver more babies" (plural).
FYI Jibjub80, There were kids on Rescue 911 who went through much more tramatic experiences, and who were younger than 12 years old I might ad. Plus, the fact that you have nothing but insults to throw at Roguegirl29 doesn't help your argument. So get off that high horse of yours and learn to accept that everyone (including you) makes gramatical errors and misspells words.
when the 9-11 operator was telling him what to do why didn't he just hand the phone to his sister or whoever she was in the first place so that he could have both hands free to do the task & it looked as though maybe the might have had speakerphone capability & if so why didn't he use it?
you're talking about a very young kid in a traumatic situation. You can only expect so much fast and critical thinking from a child that age. I think the sister was even younger (not sure, havent watched in a while) so that would have complicated matters. And the speaker phone is not always the easiest thing to engage, depending on the phone (these are older models, accidently hanging up, i'm sure, could be a problem)
Probably because it was much easier for him to hear the 911 operator himself than through his sister who was panicking a lot, and would have had a lot more difficulty relaying the conversation.
Babies can come reeeaaaal fast, especially the that it's her fourth. They could have taken all of five minutes to get there and the baby woulda still been delivered by that little boy.

yes they do come fast, im a nanny for an obgyn and i know first hand lol i've seen her leave at 1 in the morning and get home by 1:15 and say it was her 5th baby it was out before i got there and we live 2 min from the main hospital lol
No you can't! Take an anatomy class. Or better yet read wikipedia. You can't see the cervix because its way far up there. It dialates when giving birth so the baby can pass through. DUH...
Bravo young man. Bravo. Good thing his parents weren't ultra conservative religious nuts. If they had been, he would have been wondering where the stork was.
Cervix. Just goes to show you should teach kids sex education young so they know about different body parts etc (plus it works in Holland - lower pregancy rate)

Spiderweb127 3 years ago 5
i dont think you can see a cervix when someone is giving birth.
angelsgurl 3 years ago
good point, there is something wrong with that woman...
musicofthesoul66 3 years ago
yes you can
Spiderweb127 3 years ago
No you can't! Take an anatomy class. Or better yet read wikipedia. You can't see the cervix because its way far up there. It dialates when giving birth so the baby can pass through. DUH...

Bravo young man. Bravo. Good thing his parents weren't ultra conservative religious nuts. If they had been, he would have been wondering where the stork was.

Sibling just means brother or sister. It doesn't matter when they were born.
