grew up playing this, sonic, and virtua fighter non stop lol have no idea y this game was so addicting, and i still play it, i friggin love it! must put the soundtrack library on my ipod fpr nostalgia, and this shits good, could you imagine just upgrading it how sick these songs would sound
Man... Never record sega's audio via Gens! Use Fusion emulator with SuperHQ enabled! To know what I mean just listen to the track from the location with two clocks which blast when you short-cut two arrows.
Great song from an awesome game... my all-time favorite for Genesis. Everyone who likes this game's music, I've got a surprise for you. Just check my video response at the top (Comix Zone Theme (rock version) ;) Thanks
@Devr0ss hah, I do hear exactly what you're talking about now, and that album came out in 1995 too. I must have been too engrossed in the soundtrack's awesome grunge/Rage/Pumpkins worship to notice my first time through.
I was never big on beat-em-ups, but this one stands out from the crowd. Jumping from panel to panel, while battling your own creations and also having conversations with them while battling them through speech-bubbles is really unique, and also very fun. As lots of other people have said though, REALLY hard. If you fall down a bottomless pit, it's instant game-over.
Howard Drossin, the man behind the music of Comix Zone, Sonic Spinball, Sonic & Knuckles, and now part of Sonic & The Black Knight. All great albums to listen to!
I recently played this game again and realized I had never gotten the good ending before! Man was I surprised when I played through it again and got a different ending! Who would have known..
Search for the band Roadkill, vocalist Howard Drossin, they made the soundtrack and some versions of the game would come with an audio CD with 6 track of their original songs.
After having gotten my hands on this OST I simply haven't been able to stop listening to it since. One of my faves would definitely have to be the song at 3:00, "Night of the Mutants: Part 1". I just love Comix Zone!
I don't know what I'd do without this channel. ^_^
It was released at the wrong time, so it didn't get nearly as much attention as it deserved. A sequel would have a lot of potential. High resolution hand drawn backgrounds with hand drawn sprites (or cel shaded characters, for that matter) would be amazing. And, of course, a grunge rock soundtrack. ;)
Great music, great graphics, great gameplay. Only fault of this game is its short lenght. But they gave it multiple paths so it still have high replay value :)
Classic. Number three be kicking ass
