I agree! This is the best trio composed in the 21th century (so far). The melodies are so honest and straightforward and the style of development is so original! Image how much more talent it takes to compose music like this than to scribble out some pretentious avant-garde experiment that we're instructed to admire in colleges.
A breath of fresh air! I can tell there's an Armenian composer behind it. Aram Khachaturian has a trio for the same instruments too, but the two are not very similar. I think writing cadenzas in this kind of setting is a great idea. Wish the Khachaturian trio had cadenzas too. Anyway, I love both trios!
I saw the whole movement on blip tv a couple of months ago but it's not there any more. I like the violinist too. There's a mch longer clarinet cadenza in the second movement... no less impressive.
So moving... I want to hear the entire piece!

@PRcommunity I feel the same way too... To say you like it would be such an understatement! The second movement is what really hits me though.

I like this violinist. He seems to really understand the music. Is the beginning of this movement available anywhere?

Here is where we see the real master at work. How many modern composers can write such effective and powerful violin cadenzas? Very few.
