it is not haram to use musical instruments, sami yusuf is passin on a good message towards islam. he converted many people from his music and he most deffinatly made me a stronger muslim, meaning he is doing a good thing, so please dont say its haram. its far from haram !

@zazwa1 - brother i think you should go and ask a top scholer regarding music, many top scholers said, its haram the instuments like sami is useing.voice and certain instuments like DOVE is only ok.its best you do some reserch.
May be you should do research yourself. As the 'top' scholars will say musical intruments are not harram.. rather its a difference of opinion.. example imam abu hanifah says duff is the only intrument allowed... where as imam shafi says they are all allowed if they are used to spread good messages. but none of them are wrong u can take which ever opinion you wish. The prophet SWS said 'Difference of opinion is a mercy upon my ummah'
, then you would know that Allah allows his slaves to choose what scholar to follow. "The differences between the scholars is a mercy from Allah" And so i choose to follow the imam that allows music.
