gotta admit when I a saw fly fishing for bluefin i got pretty excited until I saw what you landed lol, where are you fishing at? bluefin in Nova Scotia get up to and over 1000 pounds, most in the 400-700 range
Indeed what weight rod is that? I'm guessing 8 or 9 wt considering the size of the fish although I'm not sure since yall were going for bluefin which I'm sure fight ALOT more per weight than most of the freshwater fish I go for.
awesome video, I fish a very similiar setup for Atlantic Mackeral. We too watch for fish feeding on the surface, but our quarry is a lot smaller so a 5 weight is enough rod for the job.
that is how you release a tuna dumb ass...you have to release them that way to get a burst of O2 into there gills....get an education before you start making comments
Those are NOT Bluefin. They're garbage fish: litty tunny. Baitfish. Thanks for wasting my time. More North Carolina exaggeration. Never knew a state's fishermen to lie about their fishery more than NC. Most overrated state to fish.
These are not false albacore, fat alberts, little tunny or whatever you want to call them. These are small bluefin tuna, and this video doesn't take place in NC. By the way, I live in NC and thouroughly enjoy the false albacore run we have here in the fall. You sound like you came here, paid a guide, and got burnt because you didn't catch anything. Sorry you didn't get to experience how great our year round fishing is here.
