Mars has soil that can contain plant life, and it has water. An atmosphere, and a habitable surface. It was a living planet because of volcanoes, and seismic activity. I believe it supported life before.

So it is reasonable to think some kind of liquid water existed and so maybe some form of limited life form was also present, and that isn't science fiction.

There were some interesting points in a program i watched a few months ago.

Scientists were saying that, because we know how to destroy our own planet and humans can change the climate of a planet, that they hoped to heat Mars by damaging its atmosphere. Then as weather systems form this could allow life and organic matters to grow.

Not so sure if life currently exists on mars, underground or otherwise. However there is clear evidence of lakes, trees, and ancient structures. My theory is that life onMars changed from the surface to the underground. I'm sure there is life onMars. And the reason I say they're under the surface is because of the pictures we see. Something devastating forced them to do it. We can easily see structures and all those domes that I would call Underground Structures, and if you see Mars pictures, there is an area where they're all connected to each other. You can see a cloud that looks like a guitar, but it's not like you're going to see pickups, strings, machine heads, etc. Then again, I might believe the possibility of such things as that face with the tall cylinder shaped facing to the left at 1:18, but it doesn't look like an actual formation, rather a shading effect by the Sun on the un-flat surface.
