Nebraska Tunnel Walk 9-11

Hi, I just wanted to tell you guys that I'm a Nebraska Huskers fan. From Sweden.

This video made me like them even more, it shows that they're all human, and not just a team.

Yesterday, on the tenth, we (the CMB) recreated that half time show in honor of that day. We had close to 600 bandsmen on the field playing that show. As Dr. White, the trumpet professor at UNL, was playing Taps, a white dove flew into the stadium and circled several times. When he finished, the dove flew away. It was, by far, the most beautiful performance that I will ever be a part of.

I was at this game and it actually took place on 9/20/2001, postponed 5 days from when it was originally scheduled due to the events going on. The game itself was great, but during the tunnel walk, anthem and the halftime show, you'd have been hard pressed to find a dry eye. So glad this is posted, but I wish that it continued with what happened after, it was an experience I'll never forget.

@mrlaymansterms1 The tunnel walk for that game was what you see above in the video. The players were all on the field on one knee from what I remember. It was an amazing AMAZING sight. This is one game that I would love to rewatch in entirety. It was either before or after the Anthem, but the singing of God Bless America, by the group singing it and by everyone who could croak it out in the stands at the top of their lungs, was incredible. Still gives me chills thinking about it.

I like how the flag holder bows his head and lifts it right when the music hits. What a great tunnel walk, and to think, only a DAY after 9/11. The only thing I think would make this tunnel walk even better would be if the tunnelvision guys worked all night to make the "Sower" on the capital building salute, instead of "raising the roof". I was there that day, truly it was an incedible moving occassion, although this video displays some of the emotion, I cannot tell you how emotional that stadium was during that tunnel walk; the tunnel walk always gives me chills but nothing comes close to this day. It was powerful and makes me well with emotion to this day. Thank you for posting this.
