its an SPl right so it mean its ment to be played with a box that has a port .some woofers can be damaged if played in wrong box

obviously mr. flamin'd the king of box building will sort out a box for this BEAST, but in the meantime you could use blutack over every screw hole and all around the edge of the sub's rim. i did this with my kicker c8 in a 22 quid ebay sealed prefab. it worked a treat and it gave the sub so much more excursion and was totally clean :-)

@ThePartnerSubscriber could do, what i done instead tho was turn the sub a little bit and made new screwholes, and filled in the old ones :) sounds good! box is FAR too small tho!

@barevids yes it is too small but the main reason is these older pioneers don't have that vacuum-type suspension that the newer ones have for use in small boxes!

@dickie6000 its called headroom. take my z-2300 - each 12-15w satellite gets 40w, and the 70w sub gets 120w. this prevents clipping and takes efficiency into account.

dude its all good. sorry i guess i forgot to tell you, i've been around! i've got a brand new logitech z-2300 and it already hits hard at 50% master and 100% bass in my 3 by 4 metre room. i was clever you see, it'll outlast those crappy z623s :-) i'm getting a new camera for christmas that films in 720p so stay tuned. it hits SO hard, no joke!
