@QurbStomp the Kryptonics come in different colors- red, blue, clear, black.. depending on whatever the manufacturer sends us. If you want to get a guaranteed wheel color then you may want to upgrade.
@TheGroupVids Pintail 43 will be pretty stiff for you (good for stability, not as much power for carving) at 145 lbs. If you want something with flex then go with the Pintail 40.
@Originalskateboards well i want somthing more cruising, i dont really carve as much though. but my main concern is control and stability. Can the Pintail 40 do all that or can the Pintail 43 do all of that? and what does original mean when you are buying a board, and it asks you if you wanna get "Blem" graphics? And THANK YOU
... ive been looking through stores and i found the "Dregs 36 rat Rod ". Is that board right for me or is there another choice please response... i want use this to go to school.. there is an awsome hill going to my school.. thankx!
Loving your videos! I'm 14 years old, 5"5, 100 pounds, and i ride a ripstik which won't take hills. An ideal longboard for me would carve on hills, but still pump on flats like my ripstik. I'll try sliding too.
I'm looking at the Derringer 28 with:
- S6 trucks
- Retro BigZig 75mm wheels
- not sure on bearings, which are your fastest?
will the derringer shuvit? if not what tricks can it do?

I was thinking the Path 37, Apex 37 or 34. I need a good commuting board, that can do tricks, and can carve. Where I live, there are only flats, and maybe a couple hills. Or, what would you recommend?
Hey guys, I know I've asked this before but would you happen toknow what sort of camera it is which you guys use to film all of your footage? By the way, I have my eyes on the Apex 37 at the moment, and as soon as I've worn out my current globe board, I'll try to get some money together to order one of yours in.
But yeah, please let me know if you find out the details of your video camera(s) because the tone is just beautiful and I haven't seen footage as rich as that in a while. Thanks heaps.
Hey original, I just got my custom 35 last week, damn this board is so sweeeeeet! This is the hardest carving board i have ever been on. I figured out that by loosining the trucks a little for flat land helps the carving and tightening them up a little helps for stability on the hills. I would like to know what to do as far as maintenence and greasing i couldnt find any info on the web page.

Hi Originalskateboards. I am inspired to skate again thanks to this great informative n fun site. cant wait to get out there and carve sum paths, glad I maintained fitness.
you would slide all over the place, which is great for technical sliding, but these wheels would make carving near impossible. Also hit a tiny rock on these wheels at high speeds and prepare to eat pavement.
well would it be able to go down huge hills like in your neigborhood and can it get at a speed of 40 and be great without wobbles because i do pool, hill, slide, bank, and trick skating lol so would the hybrid be good for that
wats a good all-around board? Like a board that you can, dance, cruise, carve, slide, and go downhill?

I just got an Apex 37, S8, normal 70mm clear wheels, cell swiss bearings.
I also got a Malakai 40 with everything stock except bearings for my girlfriend.
Riding with those boards was really nice, really smooth. I particularly love the Apex37.
The thing is, as a long time skateboarder, I just can't stand still on a board.
What do you recommend as a setup (keeping the apex, but I'm ready to change the rest) for tricks (shove-it and so on) and slides?
Thanks

Hey What,
I would highly recommend that you check out the Torpedo or Custom 35! Let us know if you have any other questions!

Would you suggest any wheel upgrades then? I have a board with 70mms.. 65mm seems pretty small.
LARiptide2 2 years ago
Yeah, I would recommend upgrading to some 70mm wheels.

I'm new to longboarding, I'm about 5'8 120 lbs. I have no idea what board to get.

Hey Rip,
I would recommend that you go with the Path 37 with S8 Trucks for more stability. Let us know what you think!

oh but can the hybrid carve hills to controll speed and if i were to put 90-95A wheels on it would it slip out
anticonformist777 2 years ago
you would slide all over the place, which is great for technical sliding, but these wheels would make carving near impossible. Also hit a tiny rock on these wheels at high speeds and prepare to eat pavement.
goorackerelite 2 years ago
Hey AC,
Yes, you can carve off speed, just be careful!
Originalskateboards 2 years ago
well would it be able to go down huge hills like in your neigborhood and can it get at a speed of 40 and be great without wobbles because i do pool, hill, slide, bank, and trick skating lol so would the hybrid be good for that
anticonformist777 2 years ago
You should go with either an Apex or a Custom 35. The Hybrid doesn't do well with high speeds. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Originalskateboards 2 years ago
i need help which one should i get the hrybrid or the custom 45 in your opinion
anticonformist777 2 years ago
Hey ac,
If it's more flatland, the Hybrid. If it's more hills, the Custom 45.
