Only michael palin could get away with killing three dogs, laughing at an old lady who died and run over someone with a steam roller and still be sympathetic.
this part, when the old lady tries to walk off with the leash and the part when ken tries to sing the name of the hotel, are my favorite parts in this movie <3
A small gag here that a lot of people might have missed. At the start of this scene Ken moves his head forwards to look through the rifle sights. He is a moron who regularly makes mistakes, as can be seen thoughout the film. You see Ken here move his head forwards to look through the rifle sight with his eye that has the bandage over it, he then realises he is trying to look into the sights with the wrong eye, then he moves his head over and he looks with the correct eye! Ken is a real bozo!
@MrsAriaElizabeth The old lady originally has three small dogs. Every time Ken tries to kill her he accidentally kills one of her dogs. First, he unleashes a massive dog on her, the dog runs past her and runs off with her little dog; later he tries to run her over with his van, misses her, kills the second dog, crashes the van - that is how he messes up his eye. Here is the third attempt. He misses again, and the concrete block squashes the last pooch. He is an animal lover aswell!
I don't know why, but that weight falling from the sky reminds me of Monty Python's Flying Circus a lot. And with good reason: John Cleese himself wrote this little classic (if I'm right), and he also was in that terrific group.
I like the sound effects edition making out as the concrete is sliding down the rope seem like thunder rolling overhead as the old lady steps back in slightly, opens her umbrella and then SPLAT!!! Oh no! LOL
The dog splat! LOL then she tries to walk the dog LOL then realizes the dog has been splattered underneath and drops dead. LOL oh this a funny comedy.
This is probably one of my favourite films of all time. It's so hilarious the whole time, and both Michael Palin and Kevin Kline were absolutely superb...incredible movie, I laugh my ass off every time I watch it xDD.
I know a lot of people hate this scene becuse of the poor dog. Well, I LOVE dogs and this scene makes me bust a gut laughing every time I see it! Ken's reaction when he sees the old lady lying there is priceless!
funny he would rather kill a human than a dog

Does anyone know the name of the song when all the dogs die? Afterwards during the funeral.
Those "Isere re Domino" lyrics.

i dont know whats more disturbing, that someone died according to this film, or that some people find this funny.
dizzlaDude 11 months ago
@dizzlaDude Probably the most disturbing thing is that someone does not have a sense of humour, but judges others :)

@dizzlaDude youre an idiot maybe if you ever saw the movie, you'd have a clue don't judge i doubt you even know what a sense of humor is

The fact that he keeps accidentally killing the dogs made all the funnier by the fact that he's an animal lover.
