  • Correcting the Muppets' German grammar! xCokePepsi apparently has s few gallons of time on his hands.

  • Actually it's '' Zu Cabaret '' Not ''In Cabaret'' By the German One.. o-o'' Just Sayin'..

And I love the Gonzo from Season One the Best ! <3 He looks cute 'n' Fluffy .:D

  • @xCokePepsii And Sad ^^

  • Awe! <3

  • JOEL GREY¡¡¡¡

  • muppets brillent!!!

  • so strange to see him , without the make up. an amazing guy, such talent

  • The Muppets should do a full version of Cabaret. Complete with Nazis, prostution, and backstreet abortions.

  • Oh my god, so less creepy than the Joel Grey we know in Cabaret....

  • I love them!

  • D@MN, I LOVE the Muppet Show!

  • hola hablan inglich

  • Please check also out the "Two ladies" ( Cabaret ) Muppet-version: watch?v=Iqakjzgi8GU

  • Where's Piggy Bowls??

  • It's weird to see him without the Cabaret make-up.

  • looks to me like the orchestra has gone to the dogs

lame pun aside, I just adore Joel Grey! there is just something about him that draws me in. :) And him paired up with the Muppets makes me complete. :)

  • my life..... has just been completed <3

  • "I am your host!" "I am your guest!" "*gulp* Gotcha."

  • @DrSimian I like how he broke character briefly for that part :)

  • I love these old shows,it makes me happy, the only one on t.v. that keeps old style is sesame street.

  • Man what cutey and Joel is still really cute even in his old age, lol. The skit is pretty dam cute as well, lol.

  • Hm I kinda wish they hadn't let this song go on the Muppets... the best part of the whole Joel Grey/Cabaret experience is the Emcee's creepiness :/

  • @lifehouse57

He is not creepy, he is sleezy, and in the very best of ways.

I love his style... so do the muppets. Pure brilliance.

  • @TheChutzpahGirl No... this is not his style at all. He completely toned it down for this. He didn't wear any makeup, he didn't do his vaudevillian dance, he could not say anything inappropriate (and really the whole song is inappropriate), and he didn't do a german accent. That sleaziness (which you misspelled by the way) did not come out at all in this version.

  • @lifehouse57

You know a lot about sleaze.

  • @TheChutzpahGirl No, I don't know a lot about sleaze, I know a lot about Cabaret and I know a lot about Joel Grey, and if you knew anything about either, you would understand my point and not try to argue about it.

  • @lifehouse57

    You are so clever.

Who would have thought anyone could become an expert by watching YouTube videos.

What is it you know about Joel Grey and Cabaret?

  • mime much?

  • 1 person's "standards are too high". :D

  • AAAAh. How is this possible? Amazing.

  • Delightfully inappropriate :D

  • 1:54 have you ever seen such a beautiful orchestra?

    - 2 dogs, one cat. soooo great! hahaha

  • it's weird hearing his voice without an accent in the beginning. haha

  • Who is the green Muppet that says "stranger"? He looks like a green version of Scred, one of the forgotten SNL Muppets.

  • @SecretTimeWarp

it's a Green Frackle, recurring background monster.

  • Is it weird that I'm disappointed at how un-camp he is in this? hahaha. I <3 the Emcee!

  • @schwarzexaugen I know.... it just doesn't seem right for Joel Grey, of all people, to be singing a totally straightforward version of this song.

  • I love his voice and his crazed expression

  • Goof: During the end of the Wilkommen number, we can see the tip of Dave's head under Zoot's and Janice's waists.

  • I was a bit nervous when I saw this....I was wondering how he would pull of such an..."interesting" song on the muppets, but once again, broadway and muppets combined to make something fantastic!

  • Wonderful!

  • He was sooo cute ....not the tiniest bit creepy this time..... and he had so much hair....wow.....

  • he's so cute!

  • how did u know the air date

  • Ooooh my goodness. Cabaret + Kermit = Pure Gold!

  • his daughter Jennifer is on DWTS now

  • @LittleMak1 she's his daughter!?

  • i love this! it's so cute!

  • i love thus! it's so cute!

  • "If your standards aren't too high!"

  • Omg this is brilliant!!

  • wow you would not see this stuff on screen today (bad thing). It seems sponge bob is as high as we could get to culture these days.

  • Wow! Joel Grey is SO YOUNG HERE!!!

  • @DassMorris He was 44! :0

  • Joel Grey AND the Muppets...am I in heaven?

  • Combines 2 of my favorite loves! Muppets and Cabaret!!!

  • am I really the only one who loves the dramatic makeup he has on in the movie? not to mention when he is in drag. vojne vojne.

boys should wear more makeup, and be in drag more often. I plan to write something sientific on that topic and win the nobel-price. haha.

anyways, master of ceremonies KICK ASS and this is a very sweet video. :)

  • i couldn't stop laughing

  • I LOVE THIS MAN.

  • This is fabulous.

  • Oh my god, he looks SO young.

  • He´s amazing !

  • lip singing..

  • He's creepier to me here than he is in Cabaret :D

  • i dont no if a muppet girls voice can go so low

  • God he was so creepy looking in Cabaret, he's cute here

  • Wonderfull !

  • Janice and Zoot?

  • @htomsirveaux42 Janice tended to be a bit too 'free' in the old days. She was seen with Zoot and even Doctor Teeth before she settled on Floyd. ; )

  • i love joel grey.

  • HE HAS A BIG HEAD!!!!!!!

  • lol cute

  • Absolutely zee best! If you need a break & a good laugh this it,,,simply the sweetest thing on an otherwise rainy day...

  • they prob never put the make-up on not to scare the kids :P

and the voice not german to let the kids undertsand

  • This is awesome.

  • *dances with Joel Grey*

  • Cool

  • never seen him without his cabaret music! i prefer his german voice, tho

  • aaww so cute! he is such a performer. look at his not white face and normal singing voice!

btw have you spotted topol the muppet at the bottom at the very end of the song?

  • hahahaha !!

  • Wow,,never seen him without his caberet makeup

  • I think the muppet with the hat in the very front is meant to resemble Jim Henson!

  • Actually he's meant to represent Jerry Nelson.

  • MUPPETEER SPOTTED: During the end of this number, we can see the tip of Dave's head under Zoot's and Janice's waists.
