We need some changes in emminent domain law. It was never intended to be used for economic purposes, to take your property and give it to someone else who will pay more taxes. i saw and shared that story too; I didn;t believe it, but it did get me thinking. What IS the government promising China to keep bank rolling us? I think it IS reasonable to believe that there is more to the story. ED; no I agree that would never happen, but why are they continuing to bankroll us. A lot of people will say because we are their market, but since our consumption is way down, throwing loans that will never be repayed by us doesn't make sense to me.

Actually it solves a lot of problems: China is short of space, US owes China trillions. So maybe they are just going to hand overl one of the roomy western states and call it quits.
