It's crazy how this camera is becoming a bit of a collectors item. The prices on ebay are around original msrp and sometimes over! and its how old now? Different companies need to start offering HD in affordable cameras regularly. I think sony and a canon powershot has a camera offering hd but they dont have super macro like this camera does. Im so buying this camera off ebay this christmas no matter what the cost.

Thanks for the help. Is there an application you would recommend? I have used both RAD Video Tools and Quick Time Pro. The quality of RAD was not very good (fuzzy and blurry). Quick Time Pro quality is so much better. I am sorry for all the questions but I have been going nuts with all the info. out there and just don't know what to do or which one to use. Any advice is appreciated. Is it normal for the converted files to be so large?

windows movie maker just sucks period. allways crashes for me and my videos are only from a 6 megapixel camera and a computer thats less than a year old..Get Ulead 11,,thats what i have,and ive been using it for 6 months not,,never any major problems.

Fix your stupid codecs, and your windows.

Movie maker works perfectly fine.

Hi there, how do you fix the codecs for Windows Movie Maker. I have this camera and the videos are uploaded in mpeg4 format. This format is not accepted in Windows Movie Maker. What do I do? I have read elsewhere that I need to convert to avi. Help please.

Convert it to AVI.

I have converted to avi (using Quick Time Pro in Windows Vista). It's great but why is the converted file so much larger than the original?

Dont use quicktime pro.

Use something else to convert.

Quicktime is not made for windows in my opinion.

Stick to windows based apps.

im pretty sure optical zoom can only be used to take pics on this camera

i have it and you can use optical zoon while taking videos and thru the menu's you can also enable digital zoom

The image stabilisation could be a lot better, but does the job, and in low light, the camera doesn't pick up too well. Nothing worth changing your mind over. I may post a video of shots i've taken. If so, i'll let everyone know.

If you edit your videos, make sure you save it in HD. If you don't edit them, just upload them. They upload in HD automatically. The option to view in HD takes a day or two to show up, though... it's odd. P.S. i'm no bro. I'm a femme.
