  • 1:54 - Holy crap, I think I just got wet for a nerd icon.

  • Chris Penn R I P

  • :58 seconds. Talk about an angel!

  • the girls looked like they had a very good time on this set.

  • son FLANS!!!!!!!!!!! o no?

  • Chris Penn looked really cute in this movie.

  • LMAO @1:35 !!!

  • i have this movie on vhs and a vhs to pc dongle....maybe i can bring this flick back.

  • i remember hearing it once or twice around sept 84 in philly. its slightly in the background in the film...

  • I used to love this song and the movie!

  • 0:55 I so wish I could learn how to do that with my bangs...

  • @12burtonboy Scrunch-dry with your fingers, mousse (esp. at the roots) and a hair blower while bending over, shellac in place with hair spray. Add hat. You're welcome.

  • Great song. Brings back great memories. How come the audio only comes from the right side speaker?

  • the 80s fashion and hair...kinda scary...i think its slowly returning though

  • its casual

  • Totally underrated song from the girls. It did get some airplay over here in the States, though.

  • I can't find this movie. Can anyone suggest where it can be found?

  • @changeup1999 That movie is so hard to find

  • Sexy,wild and pure!

  • dude, the audio only comes from the right speaker/phone

  • at 2:11 is the only time they are in sync so the snapped a shot real quick!

  • The movie "Wild Life" starred Sean Penn's younger bro Chris Penn and Eric Stolz. The quintessential 80's movie. If you haven't seen it check it out. It rocks. People think that rappers invented the Pound but they didn't. Check out Chris Penn giving his bud a Pound at 2:43. Thanks for posting.

  • movie name, please? & what's with the audio? or is it my headphones?

  • I used to watch MTV daily to see this video as a kid. I dont think I've heard this song anytime since then...it was not a movie you could compare with any John Hughes (RIP) movies...It was perpetrating a copycat...It was kinda cool but only because it had Spicoli's little brother...but his name is not Curtis.

  • and its stars Wyatt from Wierd Science and also Lee Ving! from Fear in one of his acting roles...holy shit I think I just saw little Rick Moranis...Is that his name?

  • i never seen this movie .. but i can tell its good i seen most 80's movies sixteen candles , breakfast club , fast times at richmond high, it come off like 1 of them movies .. cool song

  • I know it's a guy thing to mention but at 1:59 you can see Siobhan's panties! I do like this song and it took forever to come out on CD and yet the movie still isn't on DVD, I think...

  • I forgot how amazingly gorgeous they were!!! I love the look they have, can't stand the "prisoner" look most women have today-tats, everything pierced, cig hanging out their mouth( f*cking disgusting IMHO). No wonder I went gay after the 80's!!!

  • @gravelandgrain100 . There's no class anymore. Nothing left to the imagination. (e.g. Lil Kim' who doesn't even sing- with her tit hangin' out at the MTV awards) And you're right it is disgusting

  • I love this song. Thank you for posting.

  • @femalepeachycat this song was added to the soundtrack of the movie after its release when bananarama became popular...my 45 single is a great cover. i enjoy it as much as you!

  • It's Casual !

  • holy shit those are bigger than my apartment

  • RIP

    Chris Penn

    (October 10, 1965 January 24, 2006)

  • @gaywitches4aborshun

    who is chris penn?

  • @The096757 The blonde guy.

  • Prob. one of my favorite songs of theirs! I loved how they looked in this video..ah, the 80s.

  • The still pictures of the girls in this video are f*cking gorgeous.

  • The 80s Spice Girls

  • Thanks for posting this song ! Haven't heard it in about 20 years ! Still great !

  • I wondered where it went. It is not on the old soundtrack for the movie (at least not in the US that I can find)

  • It's on their US debut album

  • @drlarrymitchell It's not on Deep Sea Skiving.

  • These girls were soooo cool. I always thought they were heaps better than the spice girls

  • Good song, which let man be cool.

  • Timeless song... Reminds me of this little joint called "Golf & Stuff" that is/was right outside of Disneyland in Anaheim... good times.

  • This song reminds me of the late Spring/early Summer of 2000. I purchased "The Wild Life" on VHS at a store that went out of business shortly after I bought it. Loved the song and loved the movie. Looking back on it, I can relate to the song. I was 17 years old that year, coping with being made fun, dealing with Aspergers' Syndrome (which I'm still dealing with), wanting to get out of school...The lyrics of this song really reflect that sort of despair. Great song!

  • The Wild Life was one of the first movies I saw on cable and one of the first R rated movies I saw as a kid. Brings back good memories! Love the movie and this song. Siobhan is so gorgeous! She rules this video.

    lol what's goin on at 2:52 ?!

  • Boob inspection....

  • "hmm.. yep, still there, Sara" :p

  • The other day I was singing this song at home, and a friend thought I was singing to a Bon Jovi song.

  • Would love to see the girls after all these years....

they had there say in the new wave movement of the 80's

They carved there own niche then like so many moved on.

  • Cool cast. The guy in the green shirt at 2:45is Lee Ving (singer of FEAR)and the young guy at 1:55 and 3:20 also played Wayatt in Wierd Science. Good times.....

  • I love this song and the movie...another reason growing up in the 80's was the best.

    R.I.P Chris Penn

  • Seriously, Chris Penn is dead? When did it happen and how did he die? I enjoyed his movies and thought he was a decent actor.

  • Unfortunately, yes. Died a few years back. Loved this movie. Still have it on VHS. Release this thing on DVD already! Chris was great in this. A talented actor. There are certain moments in this movie (and others) where you see he had the potential to be as good as his brother. His character Tom Drake rules! And he punched fists with Lee Ving! Hell Yeah! F'n punk! Ha! A shame he died. Drugs, man. Ain't no good! (least i'm pretty sure it was drugs). R.I.P Chris. We miss you.

  • Chris Penn's body was found in his apartment in 2006. Apparently he had been in a downward spiral for a while, according to his brother Sean. He had gained a tremendous amount of weight and also was heavy into the drug/alcohol scene from what I heard- unfortunately the norm for a lot of Hollywood talent these days. such a waste of talent for such a fine actor. We miss you chris!

  • thanks. appreciate the knowledge.

  • I love this song ^^

  • I did a video for the song You´ve Really Got Soemthing a track from their forgotten 1995 album Ultraviolet, watch it.

  • One of my all time favourites, I remember watching this video over and over in 1984. I used to copy the yellow paint over black and white pictures thing for my art class.

  • I love this song its a shame its so underrated I think the girls look very pretty in this vid especially siobhan

  • great song just like cruel summer and venus

  • Great forgotten tune, inexplicably left off "Greatest Hits Collection"--not that it was a "big" hit LOL...

  • It was a hit in the States.Popular enough that the record company re-issued the album (the album with Cruel Summer on it) with this song as an additional track.Shame no one in the UK knows of this song.My fave by them.

  • Only made number 70 in the States. One of their best non-hits.

  • Unbelievable! It got lots of radio airplay and the video was in heavy rotation.I was only 10 yrs old so I assumed it was a hit.I remember seeing them lip-sync to it on an Anne Murray special and was so let down by how boring they were to watch (even w/special camera fx) - still love the song though.

  • Hungover probably....I know the feeling....ugh

  • I agree, surprising it wasn't a hit. I think the majority of their 'live' performances in the early days are quite fun to watch though.

  • 'Wild Life' is on BananaRama's 'The Essentials' Collection. That CD is also like a compilation of this best songs.

'Wild Life' is a very underrated single of theirs. One of my favorites.

Had no idea it was a soundtrack to an actual movie, though.

  • Nice girls. I like them since mid 80s.

  • It's casual!

  • "You cannot put a poodle in the microwave!"

  • In the movie, somebody puts the poodle in the microwave during a crazy party, and inmediatly somebody takes it out, nothing happens to him. No animals were harmed during production ;-) only the actors were completly wasted all the time.

  • I was trying to quote Eric Stoltz's character from the movie. I also like "I was just trying him out."

  • Haha!! you are right! that´s Erick Stoltz line, when he enters his apartment and he watches the crazy party going on. He is the one who pulls out the poodle.

  • 1:59 - Siobhan Fahey jumps and exposes her little white panties.

    I just came.

  • its the wild life

  • I like the kick back at 2:10

  • Great harmonies. I forgot about this band. Being a Metal Head I didn't pay much attention to this genre in the 80's. But looking back now, this song is awesome.

  • Great singing. Underrated song.

The girls hated those hats but I think they

    looked beautiful in them!!

  • I love them they can really sing good.

  • was the movie called wild life as well? great song, couldn't find it anywhere...thank goodness for youtube :)

  • that would be Keren Woodward. Very pretty. to see her a bit rougher looking, check out the video for "ain't what you do".

  • At :58 which singer is she ???? She is sooooo beautiful !!!!

  • I agree, Keren Woodward was (is) HOT!

  • The movie is awesome and so is this song ♥

  • I gotta see this movie! I'm working on being a singer. I'm bringing back this sound!

  • Dance R&B like Banantarama! With love!

  • time to bring back an 80`s bar/club with all the music.....

  • in the movie wild life..the cop in it was the biggest prick in the world...he made me not like cops for a long time...but then the show COPS came out..and i started to like them ...thank goodness they are out here for us!!!

  • the 80's forever!!!!!

  • OH GOD I REALY MISS THE 80's!!!

  • cool song, i love the 80s

  • Wow! I remember watching this and wishing I could be as cool as they were!

  • Awesome 80's song !!

  • Oh wow this brings back great memories! They ruled the 80's hands down. Love this song and video :)

  • I love this song and video.Excellent fashion and hair. All 3 girls looking especially good!

Sara has such a lovely cheeky shy sort of smile.Love Siobhans hair with the bow thing around it and Keren as usual just looks stunning.

  • I never get tired of this song.Loud-bold patterns,egg-starched mile high hair, hot pink lip stick, and the stench of 80's tartness. I still love these ladies! They made my childhood in England a fun time, even if my boyfriend likes to laugh at me over this. Not backing down on this one!

  • I wonder and read somewhere this video wasn´t showed on MTV, and therefore the single didn´t top the charts. Too bad, such a great song & VIDEO!!!! Bananarama still rocks!!!!

  • Oh Siobhan Fahey, I had such a crush on you in the 1980's. You always looked so cute and spunky in whatever video you did! You reminded me of American actress Jessica Lange!

  • WILD LIFE!~!!!!!

  • Great tune, thank you so much for posting it.

  • I saw this video many moons ago, it was one of my favorite songs in the 80s, I've never seen the movie though...thanks

  • This is my absolute favorite Bananarama song and it is such a thrill for me to be able to finally see the music video for it! And -- what the hell kind of shitty movie was cut into the scenes of the Bananarama girls having kickass fun? I guess the '80s were the era of "crap film, but EXCELLENT song" (cf. "Dead Man's Party" and Back To School). Oh, and I officially want to become Bananarama when I grow up.

  • Films are garbage today too. Music if you want to call it that is terrible also.

I miss the 80's. I wish women still wore those Guess stone washed high wasted jeans with slim legs and zippers at the ankles. I have no idea why I'm saying this. I'm sure nobody cares.

    Jim

  • I miss the style from back then too. YOu could be yourself and not look like a slut.

And I agree on the movies and music today, all trash. Nothing is original, everything is a remake of some kind.

  • I agree with you and like long sexy legs too.

  • Yeah I totally agree. Everything was about having fun and wearing whatever as long as its cool. Music videos nowadays have to look or act like sluts-just to sell... shows how crappy the songs are if have to sell/or expose one's body...

  • Yeah the whole slut thing now days is so stupid.I prefer to dress the way that I am and not what the world says. But the 80's and 90's were all about fun.

  • Those were fun times!

  • I totally care!! I miss the 80's a lot.. all fun...

  • Oh we do!lol!I too believe that we need to go back to the old days of good music that is real. And hopefully I will be one of the first musicans to get us back to that time.

  • The movie was The Wild Life.

  • Well, yes. I found that out maybe a week or two ago. Also found out it was supposed to be some kind of Fast Times At Ridgemont High sequel. Which explains a lot. But eh, I guess you had to be there. Not in terms of the music and this fabulous group of females, though. Bananarama are timeless. "The Wild Life" (the song) is forever.

  • There would be no song without the movie.

  • My Favorite Bananarama video. Kinda makes me feel old now

  • I missed out on the 1980's. I was too busy studying in college. No fun for me.

I never even heard of Bananarama until 2005.

  • One of my favorite Bananarama vids. Thanks for posting!

  • I can never remember their names, but the blonde with the yellow striped skirt looks sexy and cute in those glasses.

    Jim H.

  • Now that I think about it, I think it was on the Bananaram self-titled album side two song 1. cuz now i remember they wore those outfits on the album cover. oh, it's been a life time ago. i was a bananaramie and a duranie back in those days. lol!

  • ok, i looked it up. haha! i know i wasn't going bonkers. guess i was the few & far between that had the wild life on their album.

(Some mid-80's US LP and CD versions add "The Wild Life" (from the movie of the same name) and replace the full length version of "Hotline To Heaven" with the 7 inch edit version. etc. etc. blah blah. haha! i do remember the song "push" on a picture disc i had.

  • If my memory is right, wasn't Nancy Wilson of Heart in this movie briefly as the cop's wife that was pregnant? or something like that? I suppose I could do research into cyberspace. lol! It's not like I don't have the resources. ha

  • Yes

  • I remember the movie, but wow! I don't remember ever seeing this video. MTV by then was getting selfish, imo.

  • ahh i love this song,

it just has that 80s feel to it.

    simply kick ass

  • I'm so sad, I threw my Bananarama VHS music video tape away when I was cleaning out my closet. I wish I still had it! They are the feel good band.

  • Siobhan Fahey jumps and exposes her panties at 1:59

    H O T !!!!

  • Agree!

  • I love the movie clips in this video :) ... "The Wild Life" is one of my favourite 80's movies...

  • Wow. I vaguely recall this from the summer when I sat and watched hours of mindless MTV at night. This was the era of MTV actually playing music vids...

  • Siobhan is hot!

  • Does the dog explode inside out in the microwave?

  • lol, no

  • Love this song, they look damn heaven in the video

  • 1984 all over again and again

  • Total 80s!

  • Damn, if I had a mickey's beer and a gram of coke in my pocket i would think it was 1987

  • I liked Bananarama!

    They really didn't

    give a ....!

    Thxs:)

  • what a truly awful song

  • you mean awfully good song, right!!!!

  • Lol I remember the movie i went with my cousin

  • I've never heard this song from them before. Thanks for posting!

  • Where on earth did you get this vid? I used to have the original release on cassette back in the 80's and could never find it again on CD with this track! -in my opinion the best on this release! What was the name of the movie that it was the soundtreack for? Thank you so much for the fond memories!!!!

  • OMG! I can't believe this video is here! I have this single, and thought it was a really good song by them. But for some reason the song disappeared from their catalogue. I thought I was the only person who still owns a copy. SWEET!

  • Wasn't this song on their True Confessions LP? All my records in storage. I loved Bananarama, but slowly I faded from liking them when Siobhan left... (Same goes with when Andy Taylor left Duran Duran---fade faded...)

  • the girl on the left, her skirt comes up at 1:59

  • dfdfd

  • You truly are the king of the toilets to post something so foolish!

  • you truly are king of the humorless losers, lighten up idiot

  • get a sense of humor or the devil will poop on you

  • Who are you calling a loser and an idiot? You're the little perverted retard who gets his jollies writing about the girl's skirt lifting up. I notice that you've done it on other videos too. Why don't you post something intelligent? This is not a sense of humor for anyone normal. This is just plain and simple stupidity. Try to learn the difference, child.

  • oh lighten up, good lord, remove the cross from your butt, hey it could be worse, and why are you looking at my other comments? nothing better to do is my guess, do the world a favor, jump off a bridge head first into the rocks

  • are you still uptight?

  • One of my best songs, Siobhan looks gorgeous!

  • I agee. I love her glasses.

  • Great song and video! Siobhan is fantastic in this video

  • I love this song and the movie too~~~~

  • Great song. Underrated in their canon.

  • Love this song !

  • This was from a great movie...This is a great video, with some great conceptual photography

  • not a hit stateside, kinda like the movie...

  • Didn't Bananarama do a music video in only their bras and panties? If so, which video was it?

  • Great song, Great Band, Great Movie. Bananarama is one of the coolest bands of the 80s

  • This is actually my fav. song from them. Too bad it's not played alot. Thanks for posting. Finally!

  • Thank you for posting!!!, I used to have this one on vhs in 1984 and I used to see it all the time. I also wish there was a version without the clips from that macho movie. Siobhan really shines here.

  • Thanks for Posting! I was waiting for someone to post this one! There most underated song! I Love It!

  • cool video. they all look great and having a good time. i hate clips from the movie though. wish there was a version without the scenes from that forgotten flick

  • Thanks for posting. I love this song and video. The movie (R.I.P. Chris Penn) was good too! Siobhan! Siobhan! Siobhan! She looks so good in this video!
