This song reminds me of the late Spring/early Summer of 2000. I purchased "The Wild Life" on VHS at a store that went out of business shortly after I bought it. Loved the song and loved the movie. Looking back on it, I can relate to the song. I was 17 years old that year, coping with being made fun, dealing with Aspergers' Syndrome (which I'm still dealing with), wanting to get out of school...The lyrics of this song really reflect that sort of despair. Great song!

'Wild Life' is a very underrated single of theirs. One of my favorites.

Now that I think about it, I think it was on the Bananaram self-titled album side two song 1. cuz now i remember they wore those outfits on the album cover. oh, it's been a life time ago. i was a bananaramie and a duranie back in those days. lol!

ok, i looked it up. haha! i know i wasn't going bonkers. guess i was the few & far between that had the wild life on their album.
(Some mid-80's US LP and CD versions add "The Wild Life" (from the movie of the same name) and replace the full length version of "Hotline To Heaven" with the 7 inch edit version. etc. etc. blah blah. haha! i do remember the song "push" on a picture disc i had.

If my memory is right, wasn't Nancy Wilson of Heart in this movie briefly as the cop's wife that was pregnant? or something like that? I suppose I could do research into cyberspace. lol! It's not like I don't have the resources. ha

Where on earth did you get this vid? I used to have the original release on cassette back in the 80's and could never find it again on CD with this track! -in my opinion the best on this release! Wasn't this song on their True Confessions LP? All my records in storage. I loved Bananarama, but slowly I faded from liking them when Siobhan left... (Same goes with when Andy Taylor left Duran Duran---fade faded...)

Thank you for posting!!!, I used to have this one on vhs in 1984 and I used to see it all the time. I also wish there was a version without the clips from that macho movie. Siobhan really shines here.
