Just convince your mother that you are going to clean out and arrange the shed as a food pantry. Don't try to convince her the collapse is near, wasting time, just do it. Always be ready to bug out. I began strapping some of my supplies to dollys, in case I have to get out due to fire etc... I just don't want to die in 3 days because 7-11 is closed. buy a .22 rifle at least.
