take my money leave my poems is a beautiful sentiment. for anyone who has slaved over his art. for whom it is the sweet ash of his life nows that theese have value. more value than the money in your pocket. I'm glad I finally realized that when someone tries to say something clever like, "The grass goes insane" it means absolutely nothing. It has absolutely no value. How can it? Other than some twisted, sad attempt to be a poet or a genius, it doesn't. I hope people can see that this poet/poem is trash. It makes trash seem grand or spectacular. 75% of so called art is trash and for trash. This is why the world is trash. It puts self loathing on a pedestal. This is oral trash.

First Bukowski said himself that he wasnt that good (wether i agree with him on that is another matter) he felt he had to do because he could and almost everthing else is crap. That most poetry was alll pretense and bored the crap out of him. @twjames18 who dont count. "The grass goes insane and orchids left to die" is very simple imagery and metaphor. The orchid (the most beautifu and rare) dies without anybody giving a shit about it. The grass goes insane..goes willd unkept, left to run over everyhting and tangle itself. Its just a little apocalyptic imagery for someone who isnt precious about metaphor. I am not saying just because you like the art you have to like the artist, but the majority of this man's poems are about being dejected, poor, low-down trash. @twjames18 First of all this mans poems are about his life. and i find allot of his art pleasurable because he writes with verve and style. The majority of his art touches allot of people becasue he writes for the man on the street with nothing or the man who works a shitty job and feels no decent woman will have him. His books speak to them with humor and and give them enjoyment and even in there honesty a little bit of hope. I enjoy them becasue they are true straigh and wriiten well.

"Oral trash" its true that allot of what we call art could be considered trash.(This in my estimation is no where near fitting in that category) what actually populates the worlds culture, at least american culture is all dumbed down for the attention span and immediate impulse and predjudice of the viewer. Its designed to stimulate some vaguely pleasurable impulse while at all cost avoiding anything that puts off unamtured skiddish sensabilitities

It just seems to me if you want to be free from sorrow, talking about it won't do it, but will actually keep you in the same situation. The purpose of drama for instance from the beggining was to engage the people in tragedy, by proxy. a procedure that requires a kind of fatih. If they experience tradgedy in this they would see there deepest fears up close in
