  • steady eddie lol

  • I saw this episode only 2 weeks ago. I've been humming it every now and then since.

  • Great actor AND he could sing in harmony! He is sadly missed. R.I.P

  • Anyone know the name of this song that he is singing?

  • @foreigntongue25 This song is not credited in the episode, but EW is reprising it from being earlier featured with the female vocalist. Stewart Copeland had stepped down by Series 4, and Cameron Allan took the music reins, so maybe he did the songs too. If you want a clean version with the female vocalist, it features over the opening sequence of the episode.

  • Nice scene, I remember I found it quite emotional when I first saw it more than 15 years ago. Great actor, great series.

  • RIP Mr Callan

  • Well said...he was a great actor!

  • Inded he was, I grew up watching him in Callan, brilliant gritty spy series for the times. However, his part as the Ghost of Christmas present in the George C Scott version of a Christmas Carol is superb. PS Great save by Montgomery made even better as it was against Revie's Leeds:)

  • Such a gentle strength and resolve about him that I would never dare or question .

  • He also sings in the movie "Breaker Morant", several songs IIRC. Great voice!

  • Ah, I loved this, it just makes Woodward sexier. Much nicer than him singing out of the top of a burning wicker man.

  • hey folks check out Ebay you can find his LP's there quite often and it is easy to convert vinyl to MP3 these days

  • Why'd you do it, Greg? WHY? WHY?

  • This erally had an impact on me when it first aired. It stayed with me to this day.

  • He was being reflective about all the people he had killed even though they may have deserved it. Thats what made him so great in this he could hold the entire scene on his own by giving a certain look or in case singing two lines of a song.

  • This is real evidence that a drop of the hard stuff makes you the best singer in the world..

  • fully agree.cant get any of his albums.well underrated vocalist.my all time favourite
