what should the rom folder be named and where should it be located on the sd card if i dont need a rom folder where do i put the games, if ne knows please reply
Or, you could not put hacks on your Wii, download illegal roms and emulate them. Instead, just legaly buy the games off of Virtual Console like everybody else does.
agreed... Besides not everything is on the virtual console.
And who seriously wants to spend $10 on > 10 year old games... It's a bit rich, if Nintendo didn't charge such a ridiculous price we might use Virtual Console more.
is there any way of having genesis plus on a channel, or have an easier way of accessing it. As, to me, it seems a lot of bother doing all of this, using zelda and the hack, launching the program, everytime you want to go on a megadrive game, i know it's worth it, but there surley must be a easier way to access it
Nice to see a Wii demonstration that is actually in good quality. Genesis Plus is a great emulator for Wii but some games like Virtua Racing still run pretty poorly.
Yeah this hack is basically a game save of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The game loads the save data as normal not knowing that it is actually a hack. The hack can easily be removed by deleting the save file.
okay then.. One more question.. I downloaded the genplus program (wii version), and theres a elf and dol, and few other things.. Where should I put, and which do I need?
I know I should make a genplus folder for roms and saves, just dont know where I should put the actual program. Do I put it in my WAD folder?
You just need to rename the elf file to boot.elf then put it in the root of your SD card (not inside any folders). The twilight hack should then boot it.
Yeah I think they are overscan bars for TV's that cut off the sides of the image. I believe you can turn this option off in the emulator if you have a newer TV.
If you translate the Wii Homebrew Launcher site in the description, there should be some good information there. If you would like a further explanation feel free to message me.
ok... i downloaded snes9x for wii, and the hombrew launcher. the launcher comes with a folder named homebrew. if i put the snes9x with the .dol and .elf files would it show up on the launcher like yours?

not only that, but some of us actually own the games and are just too lazy to swap them out all the time :)
Plus there's a decent amount of games never released in the US so there is no profit loss from playing them.

you have to ALWAYS have the twilight cd in when you want to use them emulator

Just install the homebrew channel, then you'll never need the twilight hack ever again. ;)

Is there any reason to using this Wii Homebrew launcher?
(Just wondering, if I dont need to download it, I wont) :p
hypermetalsonic 3 years ago
No you don't have to use it, it's just useful if you want more than one homebrew application on your SD card.
