A crow hop is when he replants his foot and gets an extra impetus from that replant. This doesn't seem like that to me, although it does not look good.
ASA rules allow men to crow hop and they can start with the stride foot back like this guy, but ISA (international) rules, used in the Olympics, do not allow men to crow hop, and require them to start with both feet on the rubber. ISA rules are just like ASA women's rules.
well... ive heard a lot of people saying that he sucks and that is an illegal pitch and that his form is all wrong... ive have not heard any one say anything positive. Maybe in men's fast pitch it's legal to jump like that and women aren't the only ones who play softball. Maybe your jealous who knows. Honestly, why would u give a shit?

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!! if you pitch like that in your league you must be in one messed up league cause i highly doubt that is legal.Your form needs a lot of work and you have to stop crow hopping!and dont finish on one foot!!!
he pitches good but his fundamentals are way off, his stance is wrong, he picks his back foot up before the lead foot...honestly that is an illegal pitch.
yeah ill admit it, fastpitch mens are mugh faster than women. and thats "crow hop" as we call it. girls house leagues wont do anything, but travel its a total balk.

1st guy has pretty bad technique seems to be putting some pepper on the drop - thats the only good lookin pitch to me cuz the rise looks BAD....that bein said prob one hell of a pitcher

mens fastpitch is different. only in girls fastpitch you aren't allowed to crowhop or leap.
you also need to know that fastpitch was started and played a lot by men back in the late 1880's.
