  • beautiful tank . i livee in detroit michigan they made shermans in warren michigan tacom.

  • This tank was built specifically to troll the Germans from a distance

  • The real Cobra King (which the tank in this video is painted to represent) was rescued from monument duty in Germany, and sent to the Patton museum in Ky. look up armor for the ages dot the usual to find the restoration pages, and photos.

  • The Jumbo was a short run of 250+ vehicles, and did have 4 tons of additional armor applied to the front, and sides of the hull. It also had a larger turret, (T-33) which while having thicker armor, also had room enough to accomodate, and balance the longer 76.2mm gun tube from the anti tank gun. An easy change in the field that gave a significant increase to the Jumbo's firepower. These two factors made the Jumbo a real threat to the PZR V,and VI. This conversion also included wet ammo stowage

  • What do u mean Jumbo

  • @DaManzMoney Basically in an attempt to give the Sherman some survivability they gave it a ton of frontal armour. So yeah, just a heavy sherman basically.

  • @Skringly As another writer said the "jumbo" was on some occasions regunned to the 76mmj High velocity. It was not designed for tank vs. tasnk combat but as an assualt tank to go against fixed fortifications. The "jumbo" and the M-36B ( 90mm turret on an M-4 chassis show that if there had been the will to do so the the Sherman could have been upgunned and uparmored. It was not mechnaical weakness that limited the Sherman but bearacratic incompetency-look up Gen. Leslie MacNair
