  • State Of The Nation!!!!! super great music

  • Brotherhood was my first New Order album ever. State Of The Nation has always been my favorite on Brotherhood. The logical progression from Ian's legacy. Thanks for posting.

  • Bernard, a very underrated artist

  • @Andres21479 and a very underrated lyricist as well...

  • 1986. Me and a boom box in a 1962 VW Bug driving between San Jose State University and LA playing the shit out of this until the 8 batteries in the box ran out..........

  • I wonder whether Ian Curtis wouldn´t kill himself, would Joy Division, experience this sound anyway?, I wonder how would Ian´s voice sound singing this synthpop stuff.

  • @Andres21479 i reckon "everything's gone green" and "bizarre love triangle" would have been more gloomy and i doubt they would have written songs like "thieves like us", "the perfect kiss", "touched by the hand of god", "world in motion" and "temptation"

  • @paolorossifan2006 I would imagine that Temptation and Thieves like us would have been two of very few New Order songs Ian Curtis would have even touched. I can think of very little he would have wanted to be associated with post Low life. Can you just imagine what his reaction to something like Shellshock would have been? I suspect it actually would have been something close to shellshock! As for World in motion, the less said the better.

  • @MisAnnThorpe come to think of it, he would have written gloomier lyrics for "thieves like us" and he wouldn't even think about the music (maybe they would the bass line). they might have kept the music for "temptation" but ian would have written much more depressing lyrics. can't imagine him writing a line like "ooh, you have green eyes! ooh, you have blue eyes! ooh, you have grey eyes!"

  • "Where we are loosing our...?" What is the word in this song?

  • Blood.

  • "salvation"

  • Kazaa

  • No! try Soulseek, not Kazaa
