@Gurgleschlortz I asked my family (All Irish so all dedicated Catholics) when I was about 6 years old, if animals go to the same "heaven" as humans, they told me no, so from then on I decided Religion was a lie because I felt a God worth believing in would treat animals equally to humans as I knew we were no different to animals (at the age of 6). Now I'm Buddhist (because Buddhism is all about compassion for all living beings) and Vegan which my family just love =P

in europe, in 2009 they have banned all testing of animals and now companies have actualy started using safer, nontoxic ingredients in their products and are encouraging consumer feedback

@elizabethumanzor Humans differ from individual to individual as well, so if we conduct tests on a subset of humans, that wouldn't guarantee that it works for all of us either. It entirely depends on what you want to measure since we do have lots of common features with all sorts of animals

@Gurgleschlortz I asked my family (All Irish so all dedicated Catholics) when I was about 6 years old, if animals go to the same "heaven" as humans, they told me no, so from then on I decided Religion was a lie because I felt a God worth believing in would treat animals equally to humans as I knew we were no different to animals (at the age of 6). Now I'm Buddhist (because Buddhism is all about compassion for all living beings) and Vegan which my family just love =P

@MizVegan I eat meat and plant byproducts because I am an omnivore and that is my food-based directive. I would have no problem killing for what I ate even if I had to do it with my bare hands. Humans are omniovores & it's natural, what we do to animals now is not; Factory Farming, Mass Fur Production, Entertainment, Pets & Experimentation, is all speciesism. Animals deserve equality as well; to not be exploited in anyway, such as being deprived of basic needs and pumped full of drugs for "food".

And you also misjudge what is 'natural' for humans to do. Human beings aren't very fast, strong, or agile, but we make up for it with intelligence. The processes to produce meat is not healthy, its causing diseases and deaths, humans are suppose to eat 95% plant based diet, we use to until MacDonald’s invented Factory Farming, research what this meat does to our bodies. Out of those 7billion, 3.5billion are malnourished, the food and water (incl water used to grow said food) used to feed factory animals, could be used to feed the starving, and this is fact.

Animal testing so far has worked at a fair accuracy due to the similarity between monkeys and humans. PLEASE READ THIS. The claims in this video are utterly false. In terms of internal anatomy (except the resp. system) and physiology mice are almost identical to human. EVERY SINGLE DRUG is made to serve you because of animal testing. You cant take skin cells grown in a lab and test with that because unarguably the conditions inside an animal cannot be reproduced in a lab. I don't deny that some of this is cruel but you wouldn't be reading this if it weren't done. Do research. This is propoganda.

even chimpanzees which share 99% of our dna react differently to diseases, chemicals, etc. the diseases that r sometimes fatal to humans, barely effect chimpanzees, so obviously using another animal such as a rat or mouse wood be even more of a dumb shit idea. it also just isnt neccesary since there are plenty of other more effective and ethical ways to test drugs and cosmetics.
