  • @akropiss

Well, wasn't that in the colonial days before the Canadian nation came into being? They were mostly frontier wars where the bordering US states wanted to get rid of the cross border raids of the indigenous tribes.

I don't think the US and Canada have been at war since the Canandian federation in the 1867.

Didn't the British burn down the White House in retaliation?

  • @akropiss

Why would we fight our brothers and sisters?

  • whats the name of the song

" a mothers ultimate gift to her country is the life of her child" every one gave-

  • That is So True

  • Australia is the most repected miltary forces in the world not because of our might but because of our bravery, comradeship and never say die attitdude. Who did the nazi's, germans and jap's fear the most not the more powerful nation but australia solider because of there ANZAC spirt.

    LEST WE FORGET

  • Comment removed

  • why dont you keep you fuckin opinions to yourself you rude disrespectful lil fuck. clearly no one wats ta read the shit you post here so dont write it. You really area a terrible human mate.

  • a lot

  • I don't know why you're so hostile. I respect the americans as much as every other country, obviously it doesn't work both ways.

  • uhh. stopped the japs?

  • Lucky I can't find out where or who you are..

  • WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY???

    YOU COCKSUCKING MOTHERFUCKING GRANNYBUSHING CUNT!

bet you dont have the balls to even look at an Australian soldier, cunt.

  • wat doies the lest mean?

  • It ties in with the previous line of The Ode:

'We will remember them; Lest we forget'

It means, we'll remember them, so that we won't forget.

Old grammar mate. But basically, it means, 'Don't forget'

  • LEST WE FORGET

  • same here and i like doin history on war

  • words cannot express who muuch respect i have for the men and woman who gave their life for our country,

but they would be disgusted how most australians have absolutely no respect for theem or their country

to most ppl ANZAC day is just another public holiday.

    LEST WE FORGET

this song always brings a tear too my eye

  • Thats sad about what you say about Aussies attitude to ANZAC day, Here in New Zealand it has become very much a National day and the young people here are taking note in droves. The Dawn services are now very popular with the teens and young twenty somethings etc.

  • heroes sacrificed their lives for the country........ cmon aussies!

  • god bless u diggers god bless u

this video makes me feel so proud a feeling that americans just couldnt feel

  • Nice, respect should be shown for the diggers who fought both World Wars. Lets B careful not 2 end up like the authority worshipping, soldier-idolizing Yanks. We already have an idiot Member of Parliament saying we are in the end of days according to bible prophecy. In addition, Australians r becoming far TOO patriotic. We R starting 2 sound more & more like Seppos than Aussies. Do we really want 2 become a bible thumping patriotic nation of rednecks that chase politicians for autographs?

  • also thanks NZ without you it would be

    AAC's instead of ANZAC's

  • my great grandfather stood for australia on the 25th of april 1915 at anzac day

and july to november in 1916 at the somme in france. he saw every one of his mates fall around him.

he gave his breath and his all for australia and i know he deserves this video.

    thankyou

  • i will die for my flag, hand over heart

    ill join when im 18.

this makes me want to cry

  • My old uncle Don, i have his name as my middle name, said to me the last time i seen him in 2004, "i wasnt fighting against the Germans, fuck the poms, but when the japs bombed Darwin, i signed up, the only good jap was a dead jap". he did 2 years in New Guinnie as a bren gunner, i said to him did ya get a few, he said," oh yeah we got a few".when things get a little tough in my life i think it wouldnt hold a candle to what old uncle commited himself too and went through, he died this year at 92

  • Mateship,Courage,Sacrifice,Faith

    They shall not grow old,

As we that are left grow old,

    Age shall not weary them,

    Nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun,

    And in the morning

    We will remember them.

  • I was watching the History Channal yesterday and there was this thing about some of the people that got the Victoria Cross and there was this Aussie digger in a trench with his men about 15 and there were about 15 turks(ww1) in the other trench after several atempts to take the other trench he disided to go alone (at night) so he cralled up to the side of the enemy trench with his 303 Lee-Enfield rifle and come in from the side and shot 10 with bullets and 5 with a baonet he got the VC->>>>>>>>>

  • to me that can only mean one thing BRAVERY HOUNER MATESHIP and COURAGE.

R.I.P All Aussie diggers and yes we can hear you marching.

  • This so is so deserving, and honourable.

My grandfather fought for Australia- along with him and every additional soldier I will have eternal respect.

    Thankyou for this song!

  • From a UK father of four girls. In no small part we live here in safety thanks to the bravery of Australian men and women in WWII. Ok, we have banter about cricket and rugby, but still loyal friends.

    "Advance Australia Fair"

  • thx mate

  • beaut song iam a pommy but someone in a past life i must have been Aussie i adore all things aussie and I think the diggers were and are so brave always there on the front line not like the yanks that took thier time in coming to wars

  • alkadypod: "the yanks that took thier time in coming to wars"...Go fuck yourself, got that!?......Other then that, GOD BLESS AUSTRALIA!!!

  • It's a great concept and it's good to have a memorial song. I'm just surprised they couldn't come up with a better song for it. No offence intended towards the concept, but it just sounds so corny to me.

  • Each to his own. You're young and I understand that it would be corny you. Though I must say you are an exception.

  • im 14, I dont find it corny.

  • as you get older you really learn to appreciate this kind of music and whats it is stands for, i always thought it was corny when i was younger but you'll understand later on in life

  • those men who lost there lives to save the country the people and our freedom that is the true meaning of anzak i salute you rest in peace.

i am proud to be an australian because of you boys i will join the navy and serv as you boys did

  • those men who lost there life, for men like me, we will always remember. Those men make me proud to be Australian.

  • Australia has such great songs. This was a very kind tribute, thanks for posting.

    -your friends in America

  • Thanks, mate!

  • Way to represent

  • Great video.... Truly only the bravest of men could do that... Australians. They gave up their families and lives for the peace we know today.. god bless them as they lay in peace and honour.

  • Lest We Forget.

  • Can You Hear Australia's Heroes Marching?' is a national war memorial song and a tribute to the ANZAC spirit of mateship, courage and sacrifice. The song is timeless and honours the memory of those who have died in the service and defence of Australia in war. The song does not glorify war or endorse conflict of any kind. The song simply highlights the sacrifice of many Australians who died in the service and defence of our country in war. (Comment by Peter Barnes - author of the song)

  • Great song and tribute. Long live Australia, NZ and the Commonwealth.

  • fuck footy players these are the real heroes

  • turkey + Azerbaijan + Australia for ever! long live the ANZACS! and god bless Australia!

  • Well Done "reelation100"

An outstanding post, thank you very much mate!

  • Respect and remembering for all men and women that fought and gave all their lives all over the world, for their country, for their beloved ones, for freedom.

    When injustice happens, heroes rise....

A simple man can do great deeds...

  • this is a great song

its our anzacs that are the true spiret of australia

they gave us our baptism of fire at gallipoli.

only thing that i cant understand is why they dont play this song at the sydney anzac day parade

  • If you go to Google and type in 'australian war heroes song' you can watch a better quality video of the song on YouTube. (Comment by Peter Barnes - author of the song)

  • Thank you

  • fuck yeah, Anzac's legends of all time.

  • Rest in peace the Anzacs who gave their all.

  • Every time I think of my Father. An ANZAC who served in WW2. He was my hero. And every time I see this video I think of him. And when his funeral was taking place the Last Post was played and his mates from the RSL came to pay homage to him

  • Thank you for the comment regarding the video. It is one of the most thoughtful comments I have read regarding the video. I created a video for Australian WW2 heroes on youtube with the song. If you type in ww2 heroes on youtube you can watch the video. (Comment by Peter Barnes - Author of the song).

  • Lest We Forget.

  • Thank you to Australia and New Zealand for their help in Vietnam. The Aussies and Kiwis fought well in MR IV (IV Corp) in the Delta area. And on ships off the South China Sea. Thank you to one of U.S. great allies.

  • agreed im a kid myself but i find that alot of my fellow children are turning into america, gangsta rappers

  • "Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives..you are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours.. You,the mothers, who sent their sons from faraway countries wipe away your tears; Your sons are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well." MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATURK

  • Great video. Australians need to have more children. Vouchsafe the destiny of this nation throughout future history.

  • It's not until you watch videos like this, that you realise just what it means to be Australian.

Brings tears to my eyes everytime I watch this.
