This is by far the BEST ps3! Doesnt over heat, looks sexy (unlike the slim) and runs cool and smooth. Ive had mine for 2 years and its still running cool. YES, i have the 80GB core with the 2usb ports and cant play PS2 games

They come with a DS3 controller now! Pity it was'nt out at the time of the 60GB. the original 6axis controller's joysticks wear out fast. I@ve worked through 3 of em. On a DS3 now and that has'nt even shown a sign of weakening.

the core version doesnt come with any games or movies like some come with spiderman 3 blu ray or some come with motorstorm or madden 09 or something and the core package doesnt come with HDMI cables like some of the packages that do. the core comes with the ps3, 1 controller,and regular red white and yellow video, audio cables

Never heard of a core. The xbox has a core pack that doesn't include a harddrive. ALL Ps3's have a harddrive.

I think that what people mean by "Core" is that it only includes what is necassary. Like how the new 80GB, which is this, only includes: 2 USB ports, 80GB HDD, 1 DualShock 3 controller, 1 USB cable for charging of the controller and connecting a PSP, and built-in Wi-Fi internet. No memory card readers, 2 USB ports instead of 4, and no Backwards Compatibility.
