who ever says physicx, or thinks he did, doesn't know the true meaning of breaking, even dancing because u need to go with the music that's what makes it that much better than just doing power moves or some other fancy moves, you have to entertain make people say wow and sometimes laugh. Going with the music is really important, doesn't matter if your breaking or popping or tutting etc. its always better when you hit the beat/go with the music.

Well it was close. With Lilou crashing a few times bringing down the quality of his sets, he had nasty musicality. Physicx had some musicality too, but not to the extent of Lilou, and Physicx also had the difficulty factor in his sets. Thus, if you watch the video until the end you can see that it was a 3-2 vote. It was close.

Physicx was clean with his moves overall, and he took the beat with his invert and elbow track to freeze at 3:00. His transitions were fantastic unlike Lilou (his roundoff backtuck didn't flow with the rest of his toprock). His power brings more to the playing field than Lilou did. He lost probably because he was lacking in top and downrock (though not to the extent of Cico). It just wasn't his day.
3) Lilou was dragging the match with nothing but his toprock. Some would say that he dragged the match so they'd time out, but that's personal opinion. What I think is that the 3 minute rule is rather unfair to whoever starts second considering the way Physicx's last set was interrupted.
For those who says Physicx lacks style, I suggest you watch any BC One match Cico does. That's being a powerhead. I would go as far as to say that Physicx is Roxrite dancing upside down. Style in another form.
2) Lilou was hitting beats, sure, with what, toprock? Not that its any less impressive, but IMO beat-killing toprock is nothing that hard to achieve by anyone. And Lilou kept toprocking through most of his set, so of course he'd hit all the beats.
His airfreeze at 1:44 did hit beat and you hear the cheers from the audience, But did everyone miss Physicx reply to that at 2:12 (his invert)?? For that matter Physicx's elbow spin was loosely on the beat, but its up to you if you think its a fluke.
My 2 cents worth. Lilou won, sure, but didn't really deserve it.
1) He crashed. Not once, twice at least (his 2000 landing was just horrible and his threading airfreeze near the end of the battle) which is the kind of thing that gets you sent packing in the BC One matches nowadays. Physicx was clean through his whole set even though he was doing a SLOW power set.
Two different styles. Lilou's top rock is top notch while Physicx has great power moves. But in the end, its a dancing a competition and Lilou killed it.
Right here lilou was so in beat n deserved the win! He was a true bboy! If you guys watch lilou vs physicx, not at red bull, but in another competition, ull see a different more to the beat physicx n he won the battle! So they both had thier days :) 2 of the greatest ever! bboy forever!

@juz997 Bboying is a DANCE, meaning it's not purely about doing moves that defy gravity. The whole goal is to dance to the beat, and Lilou did a better job than Physicx here. If this was some gymnastics competition, then yes Physicx would've won, but it's a B-Boy competition.

Lilou had a unique style, how he rides the beat was unlike anyone else, and he entertains the people more than others. That alone on a good day can beat, arguably, the best breakdancer in the world.

You dont understand what style is in bboying either if you think physicx had none of it. Only because Lilou was able to start with and groove to that with his style, doesn't mean Physicx was out of it too. yeah i agree that lilou was killn alot of time with his toprock, but i do think he deserved the win, he really killed the beat, physix has nice power but lilou hit every beat better and more obviously, and isnt that the spirt of b-boying? im not diasagreeing with your points tho they were good ones and it be better if physix finished that last set.

Physicx was clean with his moves overall, and he took the beat with his invert and elbow track to freeze at 3:00. His transitions were fantastic unlike Lilou (his roundoff backtuck didn't flow with the rest of his toprock). His power brings more to the playing field than Lilou did. He lost probably because he was lacking in top and downrock (though not to the extent of Cico). It just wasn't his day.

3) Lilou was dragging the match with nothing but his toprock. Some would say that he dragged the match so they'd time out, but that's personal opinion. What I think is that the 3 minute rule is rather unfair to whoever starts second considering the way Physicx's last set was interrupted.
For those who says Physicx lacks style, I suggest you watch any BC One match Cico does. That's being a powerhead. I would go as far as to say that Physicx is Roxrite dancing upside down. Style in another form.

2) Lilou was hitting beats, sure, with what, toprock? Not that its any less impressive, but IMO beat-killing toprock is nothing that hard to achieve by anyone. And Lilou kept toprocking through most of his set, so of course he'd hit all the beats.
His airfreeze at 1:44 did hit beat and you hear the cheers from the audience, But did everyone miss Physicx reply to that at 2:12 (his invert)?? For that matter Physicx's elbow spin was loosely on the beat, but its up to you if you think its a fluke.

My 2 cents worth. Lilou won, sure, but didn't really deserve it.
1) He crashed. Not once, twice at least (his 2000 landing was just horrible and his threading airfreeze near the end of the battle) which is the kind of thing that gets you sent packing in the BC One matches nowadays. Physicx was clean through his whole set even though he was doing a SLOW power set.

Two different styles. Lilou's top rock is top notch while Physicx has great power moves. But in the end, its a dancing a competition and Lilou killed it.

Right here lilou was so in beat n deserved the win! He was a true bboy! If you guys watch lilou vs physicx, not at red bull, but in another competition, ull see a different more to the beat physicx n he won the battle! So they both had thier days :) 2 of the greatest ever! bboy forever!

Didn't Physicx get his 3rd set interrupted? I am not saying that would have changed the verdict but I think he kinda got shafted there.
I dont believe Physicx works well solo at least in 2005 because he isn't that well rounded. He has better footwork and top rock as of now.
Despite that he had clean moves but they weren't well on beat so I could see the majority leaning towards Lilou.

physicx had a weak 3rd set imo. Lilou outclassed him when it came o keeping rhythm with the music in each and every single set. Just notice how often the crowd cheered for Lilou as he would hit note after note after note. Physicx didn't get that kind of love. just not his day

@juz997 Bboying is a DANCE, meaning it's not purely about doing moves that defy gravity. The whole goal is to dance to the beat, and Lilou did a better job than Physicx here. If this was some gymnastics competition, then yes Physicx would've won, but it's a B-Boy competition.

already I know and i have seen all physics moves and now i can say im bored, lilou doesnt has powefull moves but at least the harmony with music is exelent (creative) physics must to fight with another as the end or bboy eagle (eagle i think is better =P)

Lilou had a unique style, how he rides the beat was unlike anyone else, and he entertains the people more than others. That alone on a good day can beat, arguably, the best breakdancer in the world.

people who say lilou win :)is correct he dance, this is not a who as better powermoves battle if so physicx would win lol, but the better dancer won that day, the d1 marseille battle now physicx win that one cause he hit the beat while on power :). If anyone disagree i guess you love Acrobatics over dancing on the beat with acrobatics and then it would make sense for the promoters to do this show without music lol.

You dont understand what style is in bboying either if you think physicx had none of it. Only because Lilou was able to start with and groove to that with his style, doesn't mean Physicx was out of it too. Physicx's powermoves had style within them and he even flared out his signatures, which are powermoves however had hit the beats and lilou missed a couple beats too, even overexaggerating them.

wow lilou knew physicx does not follow the beat even how physicx moves were very impressive lilou knew it doesnt matter because its not with the music so lilou used the beat of the music to win and thanks to physicx lilou saved some moves for the next battles at the time.
