  • Man, you think too much. I mean, I'm an intellectual analytical nutcase and even I think less! Women come and go. Don't fret so much!

  • Hmm, I'm rather intrigued by your comparison of the dating scene as a consumerism type of shopping list deal LOL which is quite ironic but true now that I think about the similarities. Everytime I see these "dating tips" from all kinds of people from experts to non-experts, it's starting to sound repetitious and cliched because these are things that I rarely apply to any situation. And like what you said, most of these people esp. women are superficial in their romantic preferences.

  • Great video. I agree with you 100%.

  • you must be an "intj"

  • I also think women had more strict and tigher lists in the past. This is because they didn't work as much. I do think there are a lot of issues with dating, especially since you don't get to know the true person until much later.

  • @IronOxideCorset SOrry, meant to say that basically American society sucks...

  • Pretty much, in a nutshell.

  • So, do you play the game or have you found an out?

  • I have been in a long term relationship for quite some time. But I never did dating the way it is done by most other Americans. Most of the guys I have dated have been mutual friends. They also started off as friends first before anything serious developed. That has let me know I have liked the person before anything else.

  • It's a bit difficult to have a perspective on the 'dating' thing if you have never done it, are not single and have been married for a long time to boot, don't you think?

  • I didn't mean in in the sense that I "never did it" but it was never my modus operandi in terms of relationships. I have been in a LTR for only about 2 years now. Most of my peers still date. Then again, I kind of don't believe in actively searching for anyone. Anyone that I have been with for a long period of time were all accidents of sorts.

  • It's all just dumb, blind luck at the end of the day...or so it seems...

  • Pretty much. It's Russian Roulette.

  • @IronOxideCorset So seems most of life...no guarantee of anything...anyway, sorry if I am sounding all down...just the holiday time and being all by myself. Pretty depressing...

  • A third of married women make more money than their husbands and due to the recession more wives are employed than their husbands. I don't believe money is the primary motivating factor when it comes to women and dating.

Yes, there are a lot of superficial American women out there. I am a woman and agree to this. But there are just as many superficial men. I have heard men say expressions like "he who dies with the most toys wins", etc.

  • @IronOxideCorset Summary=American society...

  • IMO, the 'business model' isn't doomed because it works so well for women, and they're the ones running the show now. They have discarded the idea of infidelity as a moral outrage, and it has simply become a normal recurring business expense. Removing this barrier allows them to return to the olden days of alpha males breeding with multiple partners. But this time around, it isn't the males doing the selecting.

  • Since we no longer combat each other for mating rights, mate selection has been handed over to women. Asking us to beat the shit out of each other for a chance to stick our dicks in them hasn't become socially acceptable (yet), so they need another way to separate the alphas from the rest of us. Hence, the 'shopping list'.

We're headed back to the caveman days, except now women are the cavemen.

  • In a way, women were always running the show. As the limiting factor in reproduction, this was always the case. See my videos about DH.

  • What constitutes as doomed dating? Which non-American dating scenes are succeeding and why?

  • @TruthBeyond That is the point. Dating itself is a doomed enterprise, regardless of what form it may take.

  • Man, you can't blame the opposite sex for having standards, that's feminist talk. The world will never be egalitarian when it comes to dating. Anyways I think women get to know the men who ticked to most boxes, just like men. Men have boxes, they may be different boxes but they are boxes none the less. At the end of the day only small percentage are going to get "first dibs" on the opposite sex. Thats life.

  • @variablast You have a talent for euphemism variable.

  • im hopeless at the date thing. i much prefer it when they float by and unassumingly get caught in my web of awesome.

err, yea.. or something like that..

  • @oojamaflipper The Yanks have infected you mate...

  • you need to clean up that bookcase.

  • @annielwhite Not my bookcase so I absolve myself of responsibility; nothing belongs to me there..haha.

  • LOL!!! <3 ill make a video for you as a responce, cause i kinda disagree. especially on your view point of women .. but i agree on somethings. :) ill do it tonight

  • @annielwhite I look forward to sparring with you fair lady...

  • and i meant response. lol sorry about that
