You should try using a shield with a shotgun, Lightweight, Marathon, and Commando. That way you'll be able to beat dudes at close range after they waste their magazine on your shield. It's better to avoid trying to attack dudes at longer range and just avoid them while blocking their shots with your shield.

Pres you gotta ditch that blast shield. Go with C4 instead. Run scavenger, danger close, and steady aim with dual G18s as your secondary. I can almost always lead a lobby in domination with that setup. Stupid kids still try to spray you down. When they stop to reload, toss the C4 at them and hit reload twice after the shield is back in front of you. Pick up scav pack...repeat.
