@salthillairshow No, I have not heard of him. I'm from south Louisiana, and the name Mizzell is not common here. Maybe he's from the northern part of Louisiana. I like that type of music, though, so I'll have to search online for some of his music. Anyway, greetings and a friendly wave to you from Cajun country, my friend!
@Darkfire889 "Barley" talk? Take a spelling lesson, EINSTEIN. It's called a Cajun accent. Part of our culture. Yeah, that's right, I said "our" because I'm a Cajun too.
I find it so funny to see people, non-Cajuns, trying to either spell Troy's accent, or to hear them try to imitate it in person. Just like "CHOOT 'EM", for example. Maybe I've missed something, but I've NEVER heard that hard "CH" sound, as in sandwich. Every time, it just sounds like SHOOT 'EM, with a normal "sh" sound. Of course, the CH is there to stay. Anyway, as a Cajun, I find it amusing. I can honestly say I've never heard (or read) anyone that's gotten it quite right. Most are WAY off!
@Stingray8854 You're right I am Irish and I don't hear him say choot em sounds more like shoot em to me. We have our very own Louisiana man here in Ireland he's not from the swamp lands though. I met him a few times he's Robert Mizzell a country and western singer. Did you ever hear of him?
@salthillairshow I just want to clear up a common misconception. There's relatively few people "from" the swamp lands. With the exception of a few small towns like where Troy and Liz live, and temporary dwellings like hunting / fishing camps, various work sites (mostly oilfield and natural gas related), the vast majority of Louisiana's swamps are uninhabited. I only mention it because as much as I like Swamp People, it makes it seem like it's ALL swamp, and we all live among the alligators.
This lady can shoot a gun. She shot a huge gator on the river bank while the boat was moving. Hitting a quarter-sized target on the gator's head takes a great shot., let alone from a moving boat.
i love this showww'!!!!!!1
