Her story line could have grown into so much more for i.e. Life after treatment, support groups available for friends and families that are of breast cancer survivors and so on. There were more treatments that would have been available to Dana that were not explored because their many other types of treatment for Breast Cancer
(Part two or my comment) for example radiation therapy, chemotherapy etc I feel the writers didn't to Dana's character justice. They could have provided so much education to the public through this character. Hopeful they didn't make other woman effected by breast cancer feel like their is only on one road
