  • my max is 66C can i do it

  • @WEDGY3000 that's good. Yes you can

  • I overclocked and the card is running at 96c, is this temp normal?

    My speeds are: Core- 600MHZ -Memory-800MHZ Shader-1400MHZ

  • @darkkaiju899 96c as in during game-play or while idle? 96c is high, but i had that before also

  • Are these the MAXIMUM possible STABLE settings ?

    I have the same card...

Can you tell me the maximum..stable for this.. ?

  • It says "the changes were made invalid and will not be applied". I've got a 8200M G as well, and I can't even increase the GPU stuff by 10 mhz... However I can change the CPU just not the GPU. Any help?

  • Is it possible to overclock my laptop?

    CPU temp: 66 Celcius.

    GPU temp: 68 Celcius.

  • HOw MB is grapfick 265?

  • my laptop is normally 30 degrees celsius, may i overclock? using geforce 540m and i7 processor

  • @TheNinwii yes. But what is the temperature when it is on load (when running a game)? but i think you can

  • @hunterx2591

never really checked, but i can play with over my lap with no problems. i have no problem with it getting too hot

  • @TheNinwii 8200M G always hovers around 70C-65C no load and 100C-120 on load. (got it up to 120 one time.) as i recall fail point is around 127?)

    Also your lucky at 30C....

  • i have a question here....!

i did what ever you sayed...but when i click apply it says"thechanges were made and will not be applied"

what that suppose to mean?, i mean how can i over clock it ?

i have the geforce 8200m g card, i wanted to over clock it by 60 mhz only

  • @nbssms try numbers until you can overclock.. try typing them in instead of dragging also. or other way around.

  • @hunterx2591 ,,any way...thanks for the replay....but i used msi afterburner software to overclock..!!!

  • @legotrooper00 nope i don't.

  • what do you mean if your computer is hot

  • @naruto123455432 if it already overheats or heats up to much where you are uncomfortable with the temperature.

  • Compaq persario cq50?

  • There is no performance tab

  • thanks dude it runs my games alot better now :)

  • PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2011 PERFECTLY

  • my stable cq50, 4gb ram, vista64 (much better for me than win64, tested), cpu ht bus overclocked to 240mhz, gpu core 577mhz, shader 1220mhz, memory 761mhz, 12 hours of playing bioshock 2 without any problem.

  • Plz answer this asap but can your laptop is how big? can it render HD videos and edit in HD without it being 4 hours(preferably under 1 hour) and how much is it?

  • @skgivesgold haha... 15 inches screen, um... its not super fast. But it does render HD. Number of minutes in the video you want to render will affect how fast you render it... so no idea.

  • hp compaq cq50, windows 7 64bit, 3gb ram, done exactly your values and im surprised, even latest need for speed hot pursuit very playable (640x480 forced via config file in My documents, details on lowest) SO THANKS A CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • UPDATE : I can go little more up.. and still stable... so really - same hardware, different capabilities

  • my laptop has the same cpu and gpu as you and when i hit the apply button in the gpu settings with the exact same changes as you did the program tell me that the changes are not compatible and wont have any effect, what should I do?

  • My OS is Windows 7 32 Bit.

Can I install ntune for my OS? Please answer as soon as possible.

BTW, my GPU is NVIDIA 8200M G and processor is Intel dualcore t4300 @ 2.10ghz

  • @AmanSikedar u can

  • @AmanSikedar you can overclock to2.24ghz cpu and 430mhz gpu without burning laptop.i own the same and using from last year in this overclock mode.... video is right and perfact but you should enter the number i told u.

hear shown in video is the max but can not work in game pc hang and off...so dont go for max unless u have ac below laptop....so go for next best thing.

u got my point right....before that download latest nvidia driver for optimam performance.

  • this card has been clocked to maxium on the day of ship GOD!!! ITS NOT POSSIBLE

    GUYS.

  • what happens to my pc if i overlocked it.

  • cpu: intel core i7 Q720 1.6 ghz

    vga: nvidia 310m

    4 gb ram

    can it be overclocked?

  • also you need to consider how much ram u have because to over-clock i would say 3gb ram or more so u have that extra gig for all the changes and speed, and also if you over-clock one thing in your p.c. u may as well over-clock them all so that all components are able to work at this new speed without one or more overheating ... hope that solves all your problems :)

  • nah the trick to over-clocking is like skill it takes time to develop u cant just decide one day that u wanna bump the cpu up to 2.35 ghz and expect it not to overheat do it gradually say if your pc is at 1.9ghz go to 2gz run it for about a week see how hot it gets then go up to 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 .ect its the same with graphics if u see any signs of instability when u are running the program immediately change it back down to normal settings and try again but don't go as far

  • Comment removed

  • cool! my laptop sparked and died. :)))

  • @jcmorbe lol. crash, overheat or its dead?

  • @hunterx2591 the repair dude said it was dead.

  • @jcmorbe that sux very much. Must have been its time :/ .

  • don't try this with this card it does not like overclocks trust me guys you do this it will freak you out for shore

  • @Ov3rK1LL3000 Hahaha, freaked my out.. didn't work, but the BSOD made my heart beat pretty hard.

  • @imalwayswatchingu00 hahaha thats microsoft for you m8 THEY DON'T CARE

    there wankas

  • Mine says the changes are invalid

  • @FreakFixtional read other comments

  • well hunter i have a question for you how come when i turn to any number it turns bluescreen after like not even 10 seconds

  • @omgkittehpham What were you over clocking? The cpu or the gpu? First of try to run the ati tool to make sure that your vid card is stable.. then if its good, you can try running a game and over clocking it a bit. If its your cpu... then it might be your ram thats not stable. Also try to put your computer in power saver if its the same laptop as me. ......... If that doesn't work. Try to get a different version of Ntune because it might not be compatible with the drivers or something :) gd luck

  • @hunterx2591 my vidcard is stable and originally it was 200 i turned it to 201 and kept going up till it crashed or shutdown like you said then i go back to the stable clock and i get the blue screen in less then 10 seconds

  • @omgkittehpham a stable clock is when it doesn't crash under a lot of load... like running Prime 95 for 24 hours...go down until no crash. its a long process where you do have to check if the clock is stable thats why i said you should have a game running in the background. You should also play it after each clock to see if everything is ok..... A game like solitaire doesn't count :p . Should be demanding of system resources. If you have the same cpu as me try not going past my overclock :)

  • @omgkittehpham also when you get to the clock where you have no crash in games... or don't see any artifacts then run Prime 95 for 2 or 3 hours.... What also crashes is the Ram since overclocking the CPU also overclockes the ram.

  • @hunterx2591 well i got a laptop with a 8200m

    i downloaded this software

it says it only works with nvidia motherboard.

  • @hajjajful you probably got a diff version. I don't have an nvidia motherboard either

  • well dude .. you are awesome anyway .. thx dude and keep up to date with the newest games with 8200m g

  • @corecruise00 :) I have a new computer now... but i have tried new games on the 8200m g ..... we are out of luck... most are unplayable on the lowest possible settings. But Every game that I did or older games are fine :/ . On to the 5870m now :p

  • i tried the lower number ... but still no change ... so that i just ignore the msg when i change the number from you .. as result ... it looks great the performance ... it works bro ... the cpu raise became 2200. is there any change to raise it again? and u know what is the result if i raise the number .. and how many digit should i raise it?thx

  • @corecruise00 it depends how stable your computer is now. A good software to test how stable in is just a game. If it crashes when you are playing then your clocks aren't stable. If it works and you don't see any weird things then its ok. These clocks were the farthest I could go with my laptop. But maybe you could go maybe a couple of mhz higher.... But you might just want to stop there :)

  • hello hunter .. got to ask u questions again ... i have use ntune same as u did,and also the number for CPU and GPU. when i change the CPU,looks ok with the number u gave. but when i change the GPU with 520,800 and 1200, there was a msg, "the change made were invalid and will not be applied". it seem dangerous when i read it, so that i change the GPU to the factory. any idea about this? and what should i do?thx

  • @corecruise00 you should start of lower of course the me since every GPU has different over-clocking potentials. try out a little lower numbers such as 500, 720, 1000 or something :) good luck. The message just means that it might be wrong clocks for your laptop.

  • hello hunter ... i just want to ask .. why my video card doesn't performance well when i played the games, such as, COD MW2, COD WAW, and also L4dead2. i have to set all by minimun requirements. any idea or should i overclock my laptop?

my laptop spec are ... core2duo 2.0, 4gig ram, Nvidia 8200m g 512 mb running on win 7 and xp. nb: why on xp my ram only detected 2.5 gig not 4 gig? do u know why?thx

  • @corecruise00 you need to set the resolution to the minimum to be able to well well... and xp is 32bit ... that means it only takes 3 gigs of ram maximum so the other .5 gigs is dedicated to your graphics card :)

  • I don't get the blue screen anymore

  • @FreakFixtional congrats :)

  • When I overlock my cpu by 1 Example: 200 to 201: It gives me a blue screen

  • @FreakFixtional u either have to overclock farther and the second setting as well... or u can't overclock at all. Try doing close to my settings both settings at once... if it gives a blue screen then you probably can't overclock at all :|

  • Hey, im talking aout somthing else now but, i have a program named MSI Catalyst center and it has a program named ATIOverdrive Is this overlocking too??

(I can set howfast my gpu goes i put it all on max, 680Mhz GPU clock 500Mhz Memoryclock)

  • @eddimurpi yep thats over clocking as well. Except thats for ATI cards and this is for nVidea cards.

  • @hunterx2591 Thanks,

I want to buy a laptop soon with this ( nVidea 8200m card ) gpu. I want to play newer games like cod mf2, is it necessairy to overclock the gpu? and does it decrease its battery power? and how about the cpu does that really need to be overclocked too?

  • @eddimurpi its not necessary to overclock anything. However this laptop with the tech is old right now.i am buying a new laptop myself.

1)If I were you and buying a cheap laptop.. go for the HD4200 from ATI graphics not the Intel ones. They perform way better then the geforce 8200m.

2)Cod mf2 does play on this laptop buy at min res and yes overclocking does help with the performance

3)overclocking the cpu also overclocks the ram, ur choice really and battery, that decreases based on fan speed.

  • @eddimurpi this laptop becomes very hot when playing or in high performance mode also. So i have to set it to power saver all the time. The overclocking makes the laptop even hotter and the fans kick in. But battery will most likely be close to the same time (miniul if your gaming on battery), Like i said, I recomend the ATI 4200 or above for low end gaming because this laptop is already old :) good luck

  • thanks for the video ;)

i have a question for u... what is the recommended temperature for the video card and the cpu ??

  • @fir3cr4ck3r for laptops it varies. For this one you should try to keep the cpu below 85C and the gpu I don't worry about but it gets to 100C sometimes, I think. this laptop is super hot on windows 7. However other newer laptops might have a cooler operating temperature, like 40C normal and 60C for them might be the max that laptop would heat up to. For this laptop when it gets to 90 I try to cool it down but it can operate at 100C but would shut down at 120C automatically.

  • @fir3cr4ck3r never go above 60c

  • hey can u pm me i have the same card... hp g60- 127r.. it tells me changes were invalid... any tips?

  • What is this suppose to do.

  • @Robloxsaltytaco1234 overclcoks your CPU and Graphics card to make your computer run faster

  • I tried using the control panel to overclock my gpu but it always says "changes that were made are invalid and will not be applied" when i try to change it even by 1 MHz :s

  • yea ok you might have to go at higher intervals.... like not 1 mhz might have to jump it up by like 100 to make it work... if it crashes lower it... if it doesn't work jump up a bit higher

  • thnks a lot for me work great!! peace

  • thnks for me work perfect!!!i have the same video card ! peace

  • Hmm what computer do you have? Seems surprisingly similar to mine.

  • @XSharinganTobiX Compaq Presario CQ50108CA

  • Oh well close enough...

Mine is compaq presario CQ50 and then random letters which i can't remember xP

Would it be safe if i just copyed your settings?

Also it sometimes says that the setting is invalid and will not be applyed =/

  • @XSharinganTobiX every card is different.... the settings not being applied happens... u might have to see where it gets applied at, usually when its to low it doesn't apply or 2 clocks are toooo different by ratio or something (not really sure why that happens exactly).....you can TRY and copy my settings . If it works great... if it doesn't ...lower it a bit

  • I have the same card (i think)

    8200m G

  • @XSharinganTobiX yep even same cards tend to differ a bit in their overclocking potentials ... but generally should be fine

  • Hmm ok last quesiton.. Is the overclocking suppose to reset after you restart ur computer?

  • how do u know if i have overclocked correctly i did wat u said except i pressed yes when its said to apply the settings on start up but i am not seeing any major changes. though one game ran really fast in high perf and lagged afterwards but dont think overclocking was the cause

  • if everything is still working fine and the values are greater then they were on base then you over clocked correctly... the game running fast and then slow is due to heat... i suggest running games in power saver to keep the performance consistent.... if u get cpuz and gpuz and run them they will give u your clock speeds and how fast your computer is now... look them up on google

  • my processor is the same as you I think... athlonx2 64 QL-60 1.9ghz... Ant btw, ntune 5 was the one who crapped my computer... I deleted everything that as a link with it and my computer seems better... but cant install ntune 6 correctly, theres an error while installing dammit lol

  • damn that sucks.... how in the world do you get an error installing it.... i do have the latest drivers from nvidia and windows 7 64 ultimate... maybe the download was corrupted somehow or run as admin? ... thats windows for u :) a pain in the A**

  • I found the problem! Everything should work well now. It was stupid... In the setup files, there was a file with a wrong name and the installer couldn't find it... So I renamed it and it worked. Pain in the ass for hours! haha xD

  • what's your core gpu core clock?

  • ntune has graphics clock, memory clock and processor clocks on the gpu.... they are 520, 730-1000 (didn't notice a difference for memory and 1200 respectably... i think core clock manages the graphics and processor clocks so it would be 520mhz

  • I need help here... I already had ntune, an old version and sometimes when i was clicking on nvidia pannel, my computer was crashing, rebooting instantly. I just downloaded the version you are using and now, I can't do anything, it crashes 3-4 seconds after startup. I have same computer as you. I'm looking for answers on forums and stuff right now.

  • that happened to me before... you have to end the ntune prossec from task manager before it starts or go into safe mode.... after that deleat the profiles that are located in a hiden file... so turn of show hiden files... i think its in programs data... chek with the web... also try diffrent versions of ntune so they give you the option to apply at start up... and click NO to it.... Also you can try Systools to overlclock your card if you give up on ntune :) good luck

  • I just restored my system, now everything seems to work. With ntune I also installed a new driver but I don't think that it was the problem. Anyway I wanted that ntune because the one I have right now can't overclock my processor, I don't know why, so I thought a newer version could fix that bug.

  • what cpu do you have? i remember that one of the ntunes was weird looking with no cpu panel and arranged differently then in the video

  • dude take responsibility for my getting pawned by ur methods of over clocking . lol just joking

  • lol the hell i will ;)
