Currently working at it with the other three, can't really say who's best. I heard Run-Dor (thunder, robot) gets a spell that repairs your weapons...not sure what Enzi (fire, lion/cat thingy) and Rufeel (wind, half-beast) get. Wouldn't they be a little underpowered if they didn't get something?

I've beaten the game with Killfith (demon, water type) myself. Let me just say that an Axe Tanker build with Killfith is near cheating...honestly, most enemies will hardly scratch you, you don't flinch much, and you've even got Killfith to revive you with the "Gold Heal" if you DO die.

I don't like the main character for this game. He looks like some generic shounen hero. I prefer Magna because he's more badass from Summon Night 2.

Just one question: seeing as now we have SIX types of weapons, are materials in this game had to come by, like the second one? We don't have any annyoing fishing Mini-Game for materials, right? How do boss materials come by etc.?

It's probably never going to be released in english, just like many other japanese RPGs that don't get released here because people here seem to only give square RPGs a chance and bash everything else...

Because the Gameboy Advance has no value in the US anymore and the first two didn't sell as potentially well as Atlas hoped.

I think that may be because it had really no marketing campaign. The only thing I ever saw for those games was an ad in a Nintendo Power. So if they put it there outside of a one-page ad they may get some more buyers. Also they could try out formatting it for the DS. Like with the 3rd Naruto Ninja Council game.

The red sword? it's the one made with the "best" stone in the game IIRC, you get it from the bonus dungeon... I think you get some randomly for beating some boss or something >_>

Why is that so? Oh, because it features the "side view" type of gameplay? Puh-leeze, during the time the first Tales of game went out, there were lots of other games that feature that sort of gameplay. Were they made by the Tales people too?

True, but not really all that many RPGs with side view AND fighting game style battle... it was a mix of concepts that made the battles a lot of fun, unlike those turn by turn battles were you usually keep choosing the same command over and over.

i can see how annoying this game could get When the boss HEals max after you take a few mins to bring him down to like 200

It's not annoying at all, the bosses who heal (and use other spells... and call their Guardian Beasts) are usually the human bosses which have very little Hp.

Yes, AGI makes you run and jump higer/faster, the sphere adds AGI at least =P
