THx for this great video comparison! Pls keep in mind that the strap hinge albums are still available from Creative Memories (they call them flex hinge, but it's the same system).
There's one thing I miss here: I would have liked to see a full album (with at least 15 to 20 pages) opened! I know how it looks in a D-ring-album, and I know that the pages are flat out in a strap hinge album, because that's what I use. But what does it look like in a post-bind-album? They don't lie flat, do they?
hi, i wanted to make wedding guest books in a4 landscape size, any ideas how to make my own as the books ready made are very expensive =/. cheers hun, great vids xxx
I'm sad to hear that the hinge album is going out of style. I know they are a bit tricky to add pages, but I love the look of them. Espcecially with a 2 page spread. I've got about 30 pages in most of mine and have never had aproblem with the staples coming out. The D ring is ok, but the pages don't lay side by side. And the post bound, well can you imagine how many added posts I'd need for 30 pages! lol Well I guess I'll use what ever I can get. Thanks for the tutorial.
Very well presented. Creative Memories makes the strap hinge albums....made in the USA and great quality. To assemble pull the middle cover out and and pages at the back.
Using the "D" ring album I think your pages should go the other way. I think you need to flip the pages that you have in there. So when you close the book your pages would be on the straight part of the D
Thank you, jesenko6! Oooh! That's a great idea. I will def make an episode on how to use those leftover scraps. You'll have to wait a few weeks though because I already have the next few tutorials filmed! You can look for more videos every Tuesday. Also, I'm not sure what these "tabs" are that you're talking about. I don't usually buy kits, but I promise I will investigate and find out!
i need to make a scrapbook for school. Over the past five days, my class has been on a field trip to Beijing and we took a bunch of pictures. We have two essential points to include: Chinese culture and Character development. can you help me with ideas for the project?
thanks
(also, just a FYI, i live in Hong Kong, so going to Beijing isn't such a big deal :D)
Hi! I would LOVE to help! I'm a teacher too so this question is "right up my alley." I think the scrapbook will be a great way to capture your memories from the trip AND help your students reflect on the two points you mentioned. I just sent you a VERY LOOONG YouTube message with several suggestions! Hope that helps!

Hobby Lobby has post bound albums as low as $9.99. They often run sales as much as 50% off!

Video answered my question in the differences. The host is a tad over the top however. Borderline annoying, but helpful. :)
