Moments like these (or the "Do it for her moment") make The Simpsons the greatest series ever! I've never seen any other series which was/is as good as The Simpsons. It's funny, emotional and they always came up with something new. The only show which came close to them was Scrubs (in my humble opinion) considering it had a good story and awesome actors and a really good kind of humor, just like 'the Simpsons'.

I disagree with you all, this was good but the most touching moment in the Simpsons ever for me, was the episode "And Maggie Makes Three".

Where Homer was miserable after having to leave the job he loved to go back to the Power plant to pay for their third child, and Burns put a sign up "Don't forget, you're here forever"

Everyone wondered why there was no photos of Maggie, and the episode ended with them plastered all over his wall at work, making the sign say "Do (i)t for her".

Le premier mot qu'elle devait dire devait forcément etre papa, il le fallait pour montrer qu'on peut aimer des gens comme Homer. Homer essaye d'exprimer ces sentiment envers sa famille de façon positive mais ne le dis pas de la bonne manière car il ne sait pas comment si prendre. Sorry but this is not her first word. In the episode where Moe steals the drink "The Flaming Homer" and makes it "The Flaming Moe, Homer starts halucinating and starts hearing the word Moe from everyone and seeing everyone in town as Moe and ultimately at the dinner table, Maggie pulls out her pacifier and says........MOE! So that was her first word. "Daddy" was her second.
