Always if you want good performance i would always recommend going to properties then to launch settings and typing in -dxlevel 60 i do this and get really good fps
how do you get it to run sooooo smothly i have postal 2 for my nc10 laptop and i lags like fuck like at 4 fps all the time anyway im gna get this game give it a try
I actually recently wrote a custom config for half life 2 on netbook. It mainly turns off things that you wouldnt notice anyway, because of the small screen, and low framerate. You usually get a farely good framerate with it, 30 fps at the lowest. Although, there are the occasional lag spikes, bring fps down to like 5 fps
i must admit thats not to bad for a netbook i have a nc10 and never even botherd installin any high spec games as i no it cant handle it but im suprised it even plays on low
that runs just fine doesent it , im sure some tweaks would sort it out , I have an nc10 , not too pleased with it to be honest , wish I would have got the asus n10
I can't see if the game made itself run on DirectX 7 but I suppose not. You could try to do it by launching it through steam with -dxlevel 70 option. It may increase the framerate. :)
wow, i tried css on a nc20 and it was laggy as hell, like a frame all 5 secounds . is the nc10 better for games? or have you moddet it? or does hl2 need less cpu, ram, and so on? i also decreased all the video settings to low. tell me what i could do about this plz :)
@trobby im downloading and installing a lot of games and i can run this high with 60 fps but i make sure nto to have less than 300 out of 500 gig i have 316 right now wihil installing darkspore
Watching in my nc10 someone playing on a nc10 =D

xlevel 80 +mat_forcehardwaresync 0 Works... direct x level = 8 that is the one befor 9, but supper playable... Its good!
AshMargrove 2 years ago
just create a custom config file and you could play it at way faster speeds than this, at the expense of graphical quality of course

how? pls help me
jordanisyourfriend 1 year ago
you could improve the frame rate by lowering the resolution

did the game crash on you at the first loading screen?
if so apply
-window -dxlevel 70 +mat_forcehardwaresync 0 -width 640 -height 480 -novid
it stopped crashing on my MSI wind when i applied this
