Ron paul is beast he knows his shit and fucking mainstream knows is views would be really popular with younger voters and people who dont pay much attention to politics might vote for him
Ron Paul would "destroy" Obama in a debate, huh? Yeah, I'd take that wager. Guess what - some patsy that King Idiot Stossel has pretending to be the President is not nearly the same thing. Obama would absolutely own Ron Paul and embarrass the old man as he flailed about trying to defend his ridiculous laissez-faire (read: the corporations write their own rules) diseased morals. I must admit: it'd be fun to watch that epic ownage, though.
@dner75 Yeah, it would be fun watching a commie socialist collectivist community organizer get his empty head handed to him in a debate. How long do you think the politics of envy that Obama sells would hold up to a true free man's intellectual arguments? Not for a second.
google Michael Hudson on bankster games, Ron Paul with Max Keiser. Whether he's strictly accurate on RP or not, many self-avowed "Austrian economists" who run "Austrian boot camps" lobbied in favor of the govt completely eliminating prohibitions on outright fraud under Bill Clinton and Bush, because "efficient markets" would disallow fraud.
William Black explained why the opposite happened, finance corp incentives were pro-fraud.
I must say, on the high speed rail question, over 100 years ago CAPITALISTS argued that railroads must be exception to free market dogma and must rely on govt-regulated markets due to sunk costs. They appealed to Republicans after Lincoln thru McKinley etc. to back railroads (mostly land giveaways = no-risk speculation). Later, Capitalists argued that ALL major industry needed govt help to "protect capital investment" from "reckless competition", do price-fixing. See Gabriel Kolko book PDF
@dilbertgeg on other hand, EVERY net dollar in private sector savings = "debt" in public sector, created by spending MORE than taxes. For Fed to give tens of Trillions to WS to re-inflate asset bubble (drive up housing costs) is WRONG!! BofA just moved $75 Trillion onto backs of FDIC. But to then withhold relatively piddling crisis funds from desperate victims of econ fraud is pure viciousness. Banks won't lend cuz consumers are underwater, so demand is dying. Our "national wealth" > "debt".
@dilbertgeg BINGO: decent final answer from Ron Paul on more taxes for what is called "economic rent". Per Michael Hudson, economists 150 years ago aimed to tax away 100% of FREE LUNCH earned by advantage and privilege, and remove taxes from productive capitalism and from wages which equals consumption-demand. This was one early meaning of "progressive", from classical liberal free markets plus socialist criticism of "free lunch" for elites, aimed at markets freed from overhead and usury.
The hacktivist collective Anonymous set out to take down the white supremacist American Third Party (A3P). In a document dump that includes private forum messages, emails, organization notes. The group found numerous connections between Republican presidential candidate Paul and A3P. According to documents, Paul himself regularly met with A3P members, engaged in conference calls with their board of directors and engaged in a “bridging tactic” between A3P and the Ron Paul Revolution. Look it up
Wow, Paul really knows... nothing about the economy. Why does he genuinely believe that there is this force that "people won't buy a product, and then they'd go bankrupt." Sorry, but that's not the case. First- a bubble is a natural phenomena in markets (go back to the tulip bulb bubble in the early 1600's, when markets were becoming free there). Furthermore, natural barriers to entry stop the ideal free flow of efficient businesses in industries to compete.
@AndrewGCopland i don't think you were listening, in your household does it make since to spend your way out of debt or to save and cut certain places and take the saved money and pay your debts off?

Great job! He sounds a lot like Obama. I'd like to see another debate like this!
Ron Paul is right, it's the corporatists in Washington writing the laws that are ruining this country. We need more people to step up and take this fight to the Supreme Court or wherever the fight needs to be fought. Ending the tax code will be nice, choking the cancer source. But even when Ron Paul gets elected we'll need tons of help to get anything accomplished.
Obama would need an earpiece and a team of folks to feed him info on the constitution and answer the questions. He's a puppet. Ron Paul on the other hand knows the constitution and has a sterling record of honoring his oath to abide by it. It is after all the supreme law of the land. This was supposed to be a constitutional republic not a make-it-up-as-you-go tyranny. America needs to escape its fascist situation. Return to free media not puppet propaganda.

People of the United Statues of America, please listen.I have been born and raised in New Zealand, and I understand the importance of voting in Ron Paul. If you Americans DO NOT vote in Ron Paul for president, NOTHING will change. Your country will continue on its downward spiral, the rest of the world will continue to RESENT YOU ALL, the bankers and corporate giants will continue to RULE THE WORLD. One day you will wake up, and realise, Ron Paul was the answer, you failed to act. VOTE RON PAUL.
New Zealand became 1# corruption out of 50 countrys in the world in 2011. Google it if you don't believe me. As for your answer, I'm very confuse because your saying not to vote for Ron Paul but in your last sentence, it says vote Ron Paul? Which is it? Vote or not???
@royaladam You are an idiot and I will not reply to you again. You can barely speak a sentence of english and therefore there is no point communicating with you. I just read and article and it said this -
"According to the index, New Zealand is seen as the least corrupt country in the world, with Finland and Denmark tied for second place"
I'm a Vet and I want Ron Paul for president. The media is ignoring the only candidate that isn't obviously planing on selling out the wealth of working men. Bailouts and war equal the poor pay for rich peoples life styles. Let rich people work for their wealth again by making a system where only the productive gain wealth. No more free rides on the back of the Fed's inflation tax. They want to make a world that is so expensive that the only way to live is to barrow money at interest. No more!
Please join me in supporting the Constitution of the United States. Exercise your Vote! Find out who you are really supporting by researching what they have voted for while in office. Don’t be blind citizens following blind leaders. Be informed voters who make their voting decisions on facts and not opinions. Remember you have to register in your state of residence in order to vote in the preliminary election.
US congresswoman Cynthia McKinney has come out and blamed the pro-Israel Lobby in America (AIPAC, ADL, ZOA, etc) for ruining her political career. While in congress she refused to sign the pro-Israel pledge and took a pro-Palestinian stance. Because of this, McKinney said “war was declared” on her by the Jewish lobby. In 2009 she told TIU's Ognir that “more than 99% of Congress work for Pro Zionist Israeli interests.”
I have a bad feeling Obama will win. All I know is I'm forced by news stations to decide republican or democrat. I'm 19 years old and ready to vote, but am scared by the biases pursuaded on me by corporations, ect, ect on who is the "best" douchebag to vote for. I vote for Ted Neugent; if I even could in our socialistic society........
@CrazyMalone Yes you could vote for Ted. If you wanna keep that right of voting I suggest voting Ron Paul. Our nation is in serious danger of complete collapse (bankruptcy). Look @ your dollar in your pocket...It says federal reserve not gold silver or United States Government (We the People). The federal reserve is a business (bank). We give them our tax revenue. ($2.17 Trillion) Then they loan it back to us ($ 3.82 Trillion). So we can finance a whole bunch of stuff we cannot afford.
@1mcashinrs I trust Ron Paul to have enough sense to slowly allow for a phase out of most programs that directly affect the general population and not a cut and dry "drop" of everything. I trust that he would slowly phase out the PELL grant, allowing universities time to adjust their prices and for demand to settle out throughout the economy.
I like Ron Paul, but he's like 900 years old. Get some younger presidents in here. These old guys think like old guys. Greedy and want you to things their way. They can't resonate with the common every day person, just someone who takes luxurious trips and play golf all day. How can you be concerned when you are making 400K a year.
@CALICOTV301 Greedy? Is that why Ron Paul refuses to join the congressional pension plan? Or why he has never refused medical service to someone who couldn't pay? Or why he refused to take medicare/medicaid payments while practicing medicine and instead worked free of charge? Or because he has never taken a government sponsored junket? Or because would take a presidential salary of $39, 336, which is the median salary of the American worker (The President’s base salary is normally $400,000)?
@claradusk Not just a troll. The trolls are who run your country. The trolls are the reason most people live check to check while they get rich. The trolls are getting rich off of you. They are the ones who keep you sick, so you can continue paying high medical bills. Those are the trolls! Yes, go ahead and hear the tell you lies just so they can get in office and make 400K while you are struggling to make ends meet. You'll see who the troll is then!
@claradusk The trolls are people who are quick to vote for these guys because of the lies they tell! Do they ever make them happen? NO! Why? Because, it benefits them and their cohort who see you as $ with legs when you walk. Ron Paul sucks! Obama may not be MUCH better, and I dislike them both, but I'd go with Obama. However, all of these presidents suck. They are all lying to people and selling the false hope. The affluent areas stay that, and the poor areas stay that. They lie!
@22425647esther What the hell are you talking about? Did you even notice That Obama signed the NDAA Martial Law and that you lost all hope of freedom with it? I know that and I'm not even American. I would LOVE to vote for Ron Paul if I could.
lol this was pretty epic. I could imagine the debate looking like this. I really hope Ron does get the nomination. I really want him to debate Obama because he'd defeat him so easily.
@TheORBOTRON He's kinda wild in what he'd do as far as doing away with government agencies.. that will put people out of jobs, turn our environment into shit and taking away all power of theh fed will take us back 100 years and turn us into the wild wild west
@truethinker2012 Wild? What's wild is that all those agencies exist in the first place, they are all illegal, unconstitutional. Yes, people will lose their jobs, their worthless government jobs, so they can go do something productive for the economy. A government employee does not add wealth to the economy, they are all a drain. Your statement about the environment is just not based in fact, pushing environmental issues down to the local and individual level would result in less pollution.
He is articulate and honestly a funny man. Perfect man for president. He seems like a president from some golden age of rulers. Ron Paul bitches 2012.
I like Ron Paul, but I have to admit watching this was weird and a bit uncomfortable. I don't blame Paul, I'm certain it was Stossel's idea, but I would have appreciated a regular interview much more.
@TheBassoProfondo Anything for views.. It is the media. If this guy wants to make a joke of it let him, Just remember, Ron Paul took it seriously. He isn't joking about wanting to get in
@TheBassoProfondo I agree it was weird, but if you want a regular interview, there are a few hundred to choose from here on youtube, along with speeches, debates, etc. Dr. Paul has been saying the same thing for 30 years, there is no shortage of content expressing his views.
100 years ago you would have been burned on the stake for dancing your president around like a monkey. You republicans are pigs who dont deserve to breath free air because you believe nothing but lies, fools.
The good thing about Ron Paul is that he is not pro-rich, not pro-poor, not pro-government, not pro-private enterprise. He is pro-America. He sees the scams conducted by private firms (e.g. private military contractors 100% dependent on government money contracts) and he sees the scams conducted by politicians (e.g. passing laws that favour certain industries/corporations in return for campaign funds). I believe he would truly try to clean up the mess, but would be hindered or assassinated.
If you replaced Obama with the Obama impersonator, do you think anyone would notice the difference? I mean, he couldn't possibly do a worse job than the real Barack, could he?
@rypat34 only a dipshit simpleton liberal like yourself would believe in HOPE and CHANGE and other cliches that OweBama says instead of wisdom and history. With many more like yourself, our country is screwed. Hopefully that corrupt politician OweBama who bankrupted this country and is responsible for the ridiculous unemployment rate loses this election, I believe he will. OWS protestors aren't even THAT stupid LMAO!!
Paul's concept of the self regulation of markets is a pipe dream. Maybe in some dry economic text it looks true but no way in the real world. Think of all the crap that is produced and that people keep buying. You think we have unlimited resources to keep churning it out?? If demand could not be manipulated and if trusts weren't the natural result of unregulated markets, and if rich people did not buy influence I would go along with Paul. There's a planet where laissezfaire works but not here.
So who would you blame that on then? the consumers or the those who provide the service? And thats where the laws of getting money out politics come in. We petition to our congress and the senate to keep corporations from making bargain deals with our leaders, to get money out of elections and politics. So not only does the corporation has to only deal with us but they cant buy the "law" to tilt the scales in their favor.
This was a realistic debate that seriously portrays the difference between an Obama and Ron Paul presidency.... It just wasn't comedic, but it was genuine. Bravo.
I like Ron Paul for the only reason that would matter to me to get the troopes out of all these bullshit wars bring your boys home spend all that war money on health care
I think Ron Paul usually makes a lot of sense, but here I think he got owned.
Especially on the regulation part. Big enterprises will do whatever is necessary to make big profits even if that means screwing their customers, breaking contracts, destroying the environment or shipping jobs abroad.
Why not get rid of the rest of the regulation (police/judicial system) as well and see the perfect harmony we will live in.
has anyone ever heard of anyone other than donald trump getting rich on a donald trump deal.Trump does have some experience in bankrupy on the good side and although i think i would prefer someone who doesn't get in bankrupcy in the first place.
Go Ron Paul! You gotta hand it to the guy who plays Obama...he does a damn good job. Wish people would applaud his acting because it is entertaining....even if we dislike the real Obama.
Trump thinks he has 100% chance of being elected, just ask him. As for spending of tax dollars, there are only 18 enumerated powers vested in the US constitution, the law of the land, that the FEDERAL government can spend our money on, re-read them, they are enlightening. Anything else at the federal level is illegal. The states can spend money on all the rest of the nonsense if they want, at least the local voters have control over them.
oh yay de-regulation. that will solve everything. And transportation? who's going to pay for it? have you not looked at history? the gov needs to support public projects sorry bud
i wish Ron Paul wouldnt have been a part of this lol he just turned hisself into a cartoon but i still beleive in what hes sayin

New Zealand became 1# corruption out of 50 countrys in the world in 2011. Google it if you don't believe me. As for your answer, I'm very confuse because your saying not to vote for Ron Paul but in your last sentence, it says vote Ron Paul? Which is it? Vote or not???
royaladam 1 month ago

No more!

Who REALLY runs our world?

CrazyMalone 2 months ago
@CrazyMalone Yes you could vote for Ted. If you wanna keep that right of voting I suggest voting Ron Paul. Our nation is in serious danger of complete collapse (bankruptcy). Look @ your dollar in your pocket...It says federal reserve not gold silver or United States Government (We the People). The federal reserve is a business (bank). We give them our tax revenue. ($2.17 Trillion) Then they loan it back to us ($ 3.82 Trillion). So we can finance a whole bunch of stuff we cannot afford.

1mcashinrs 2 months ago
@1mcashinrs I trust Ron Paul to have enough sense to slowly allow for a phase out of most programs that directly affect the general population and not a cut and dry "drop" of everything. I trust that he would slowly phase out the PELL grant, allowing universities time to adjust their prices and for demand to settle out throughout the economy.
2jfaulk 2 months ago
@1mcashinrs There are certain functions of each department that will be saved and rolled in somewhere else, Pell Grants are one of those.
TheORBOTRON 2 months ago
I like Ron Paul, but he's like 900 years old. Get some younger presidents in here. These old guys think like old guys. Greedy and want you to things their way. They can't resonate with the common every day person, just someone who takes luxurious trips and play golf all day. How can you be concerned when you are making 400K a year.
CALICOTV301 2 months ago
@CALICOTV301 Greedy? Is that why Ron Paul refuses to join the congressional pension plan? Or why he has never refused medical service to someone who couldn't pay? Or why he refused to take medicare/medicaid payments while practicing medicine and instead worked free of charge? Or because he has never taken a government sponsored junket? Or because would take a presidential salary of $39, 336, which is the median salary of the American worker (The President’s base salary is normally $400,000)?
TheORBOTRON 2 months ago 4
@CALICOTV301 Dear lord I hope you're just a troll.
claradusk 2 months ago
@claradusk Not just a troll. The trolls are who run your country. The trolls are the reason most people live check to check while they get rich. The trolls are getting rich off of you. They are the ones who keep you sick, so you can continue paying high medical bills. Those are the trolls! Yes, go ahead and hear the tell you lies just so they can get in office and make 400K while you are struggling to make ends meet. You'll see who the troll is then!
CALICOTV301 2 months ago
@claradusk The trolls are people who are quick to vote for these guys because of the lies they tell! Do they ever make them happen? NO! Why? Because, it benefits them and their cohort who see you as $ with legs when you walk. Ron Paul sucks! Obama may not be MUCH better, and I dislike them both, but I'd go with Obama. However, all of these presidents suck. They are all lying to people and selling the false hope. The affluent areas stay that, and the poor areas stay that. They lie!

TheORBOTRON 2 months ago
@TheORBOTRON He's kinda wild in what he'd do as far as doing away with government agencies.. that will put people out of jobs, turn our environment into shit and taking away all power of theh fed will take us back 100 years and turn us into the wild wild west
truethinker2012 2 months ago
@truethinker2012 Wild? What's wild is that all those agencies exist in the first place, they are all illegal, unconstitutional. Yes, people will lose their jobs, their worthless government jobs, so they can go do something productive for the economy. A government employee does not add wealth to the economy, they are all a drain. Your statement about the environment is just not based in fact, pushing environmental issues down to the local and individual level would result in less pollution.
TheORBOTRON 2 months ago
@truethinker2012 I agree taking away the power of the Fed would bring us back 100 years, all the way back to sound money and a more stable economy.

There's a planet where laissezfaire works but not here.
anahatatutu 3 months ago
So who would you blame that on then? the consumers or the those who provide the service? And thats where the laws of getting money out politics come in. We petition to our congress and the senate to keep corporations from making bargain deals with our leaders, to get money out of elections and politics. So not only does the corporation has to only deal with us but they cant buy the "law" to tilt the scales in their favor.

Of course Ron Paul is unelectable--he doesn't adhere to the current Republican party line, so he can't win the nomination.
All he can do is run as a third-party candidate and take votes away for the Republican candidate (the equivalent of what Nader did to Gore in 2000).
