I've been playing this for damn near 18 years now and can't get past zone 3, and this guy goes and beats the whole game in under 18 minutes? My god, I suck at Sonic 1

had quite a few screw ups which added a but to your time but still a heck of a lot better than i could ever do nice job!

It amazes me how easy the first Sonic game was in comparison with the later ones. Only six zones, and no massively difficult bosses. The second Sonic game had much more depth.

I found Sonic 1 to be more difficult actually... Damn you Marble and Labyrinth zones.

I agree, swordslash97. We both hate those zones, so I ask you to watch SonicJackaroo's Sonic Megaplay playthrough. Megaplay aparrantly has no Marble or Labyrinth. And if theres no Labyrinth, they have to take out Scrap Brain act 3. So... yeah. (He has lots of great playthroughs btw)

From the looks of things, the final boss of this game is a joke... or maybe it's made to look easy with a skilled player controlling :P

It might just be me, but this run seems a little sloppy. I know there are points where he means to get hit for the invulnerability, but there are so many parts where he makes a mistake and gets hit for it. It's a good run, but it couldn't possibly still be the record after two years...could it?

Really? i always thought these games were hellla easy. Pretty much invulnerable when u can just recatch the rings when you get hit.

Robotnik was sooo easy too!

Well Sonic one was the toughest cause 2 I can get to the last level FAST and 3 I got really bored with. One I always died at the level where there are penguins.....

@XioXaio12 ...and Sonic 1 has NO spin dash and insta-shield, not to mention the other three shields (fire, lightning & water).

GJ on the shortcut on Scrap Brain Zone, Act 3. I tend to take that always since going underwater is such a bitch!
