  • We have to start the process with ourselves first and of course we need a Government will to implement the laws strictly and honestly. Person living in a glass house can't dare to throw stones at other before securing his own home.

So, as an important piece of the society, start the reform with oneself and then only we can envision to eradicate corruption from our society gradually.

  • Dear Raghu, Gt work. You have my support. We are sick of hearing of scams and scams and scams with no conclusion! You asked the one question, is there going to be a change; are people going to be punished? My question is , is there going to be change; will people become honest so that there is no scope for corruption . We need honesty and integrity and not abuse of power or authority to be corrupt free!

  • Dear Raghu, Baba Ramdev is already doing what you intend too. He has already taken around 10 crore signatures on many issues(including the issue of ratification of UN Convention against Corruption) and sent those to the PM. His satyagraha on June 4th also has this issue of UN Convention. I think you should support him as he has the ability to drive masses on this issue.

  • Well very informative - and definately we need to bring in laws to make a India a better place for all of us

  • I do agree that corruption has to be stopped in its tracks. Thanks for explaining the Indian law on this subject. I now understand why we are not getting the money back from the scam perpetuates.

If you name the site IwillNOTpayabribe, it would have more effect, as it would be auto-suggestion to those who regularly pay bribes. I have no desire to pay bribes, including the cash component to people selling property. Change the name and I will get a lot of signatures. Now there's a bribe!

  • with the politicians - its a very very tough thing to eradicate corruption or bring them to task....theirs is the most established & organised system.....they scratch each others back....they only fool the aam public by showing that one politician is against the other.....

  • I feel good to hear people talking with courage against corruption and I am with all of them. I do not know how to offer my participation but I did attend the the support dharna while Anna Hazare was on his fast till death against government to Pass the Jana Lokpal bill in Pune. Raghu, Sir I am surely passing this mail to my friends and relatives.

I felt good about Sonia Gandhi's letter To Anna.. Amar ko abhi marna hi hoga. Digvijay ko vijay kisme hai ye samzanahi hoga. Bhalchandra Khenat

  • Great presentation of the truth about Indian Governance or mis-governance.Our politicians and bureaucrats do not want ot o be caught and even if caught, not to be punished. Our govt. is refusing to divulge the names of those holding illegal monies abroad and now trying to undermine Anna Hazare's campaign.Unless, we the people, vent our anger and unify our fight against corruption,India will continue to suffer and our monies will be lost forever.Just do it,NOW!

  • AN EXCELLENT PRESENTATION & CRUX OF THE ISSUE

  • Although he makes a good point on Corruption, that is only one part of the bad laws that need changing. There are many other changes needed that unnecessarily keep people poor and restrained. This is why I wrote my book "Diagonal Lengths: Rethinking Our World" that looks at all the changes that are needed to create a better world. It is unashamedly idealistic, but its good to set goals.

  • after reading all the comments, i have just one thing to say....even Anna Hazaae is a fake.... so who do people look up to?

  • Excellent presentation

  • In a democracy it is "yatho praja, thatha raaja". Basically, the rulers reflect the people they represent. People get what they deserve. We don't care when we vote, if at all we vote! This is unfortunately hard fact of reality in India (and many other countries).

  • This is a well informed and a balanced view. India mist ratify the convention.

  • We are WIth you.

  • Mr Raghu , You are totally right . Its time the Indian govt do something about corruption in India. Its a shame that India has a deep routed problem like this.Corruption should be eradicated to get rid of poverty in India.

  • True. But do we even have a choice. Don't we get biased in the version of corruption when the same corruption is committed by the political party which I support. anyway i can go on writing and it will not matter. Some funny person will write against it will abuse etc and thats it.

So best IGNORE u guys who just lecture

  • @kaukabenayet

Its because of attitudes like yours that India is in such a state. It was because of people like you that Hitler rose to such power. And it was NOT because of people like you that tyrants like Mubarak and Ben Ali were ousted. If you and I do not take people like Mr Raghu seriously then this will stay a lecture. If everyone in their own small way takes action then it does not stay a lecture but rather a call to action.

  • @sreeki71

If you have worked in an organization or went to school. People who shout most are they the one who do things or those who just sit back and just do there work without making fuss. So all my point is You tube lectures facebook liking will do nothing. You need to get your hands actually wet like Anna Hajare. Lecturing and trying to show yourself good , I don't appreciate.

  • @kaukabenayet

Its not necessary that what one does is front page news, nor does one have to write about it/shout from roof tops. What one does can just be simple things. Like the next time a policeman stops you pay the fine not the cop! Or if the customs fellow stops you pay the duty not the agent. If everyone collectively did things like that things would be different. I am NOT lecturing (you or anyone else) just pointing out the bleeding obvious.

  • @kaukabenayet

I never said I am better than anyone else. I am just as guilty taking the easy way out (still remember when I paid my first 'baksheesh'!) But please realize, your DOES NOT HELP. God knows India needs an action call. This is just that. Start small in your own way. If you don't feel like it, fine stick to your way of life - at least don't break someone else's resolve. And please dont question someone's education/intelligence - it just reflects badly on your own!

  • Bravo !! We need more and more initiatives like this to have a better tomorrow. We need leaders who can lead us to fight against corruption.

  • I am with you.

  • I fully agree with the video talk of Shri Raghunandan. But real problem as how shall we remove corruption and ratify the laws for punishing such named big people?Ofcourse Shri. Raghunandan explained nicely about ratifying.Who brings bill in Loksabha where all big wigs from ruling and opposition parties are there. Will they do it? Unless we drive them and reelect good clean people to bring such bill.Seems long journey,,...Shirish Mehta ,Ahmedabad, Gujrat.

  • thanks for the eye opening msg.we all talk aboit the problem , lets take some serious action now to make India corrupt free.

    modhushree

  • whoever can think, should do all help possible ( joining hands), to root out all sorts of corruption in a poor and illiterate country like india. my help pledged here.

    geeta d

  • HEAR HEAR" Now the test will be to ensure this message reaches all like-minded and bring them into the mainstream of this movement. Also in order to be effective efforts and plans need to made to make the rural population also aware of the dangers to this country from a handful of looters .JAI HIND

  • Has anyone realised that the indian judiciary has been set up as an institutiton of suppresion and oppression where what prevails is not the rule of law but the rule of influence, by whatever means? Suffice to highlight the issue of Right to Information Act and how the then Chief Justice of India has subverted it with impunity and the case is now pending, unwarrantedly, in the supreme court itself!

  • As a software engineer I know "writing a fresh, clean code is far simpler than debugging a large, unmanaged and buggy code". Similarly, Manmohan Singh is "An HONEST leader of the most CORRUPT Government ". Corruption is deep rooted in all major parties like Congress, BJP, SP, AIADMK. India needs to scrap off these buggy political parties and start afresh. I am with "Bharat Swabhiman". A fresh party with clean, educated and honest leaders.

  • @idiotrg - can we make a movie out of it or let our so called cricket stars can make a colorful commercial on this?

What is ur problem? If you can do something about Mr.Raghu's small request, please do that.

  • The major problem that India has is corruption ,, else with the kind of man power we have we can be the best in the world

  • I'm glad that an ex-IAS officer is spearheading this movement.

  • Lets put our sign. Its the least we can do.

  • I love to live in a corruption free nation . implementing the law is the responsibility of each individual . Lets work build better nation

  • Well Signing the Petition is not the hard part. Neither is the change in Law. India will probably adopt the UN convention with regards to corruption. The problem with India is IMPLEMENTING these laws. Please do something about it also!

  • This video is worth watch every paisa that we lost in the Loop of Corruption. Do watch, Do sign, Do share to bring justice to the people, for the people and by the people...

  • An Excellent initiative; wish it all a great success; how about paying to BROKERS & Middlemen in RTA , Passport, Municipalities, registrar offices, Mandal offices, Bank loans, Police, IT etc.,

  • Good informative video to tell about the laws - where is the petition to sign? I checked the site and couldnt find it. Please provide...will sign.

  • A good intiative to tell about corruption and the law required.Good keep going I will support this action...........

  • There should be a Hindi Version too.

  • Way to go sir !!!

    I salute you !!!

  • Thanks for the looking at the issue of corruption in India as something institutionalized. Essentially, the Indian government doesn't even recognize many forms of corruption. I was unaware of it.

Unfortunately, to the lay man, the traffic cop asking for a bribe is at an individual level (i.e. the traffic cop as a person is corrupt). We don't look deeply to identify the systemic issues that allow the traffic cops, his bosses, their political bosses.. to be corrupt and get away with it.

  • So what happens India signs it? LOL Laws are not enforced here in India mr. Raghu. Sad that even after your service you're unable to figure it out. From the Constitution to the ordinary laws all remain only on paper. Great if atleast the people who read this don't day ' I GOT A BRIBE'.

  • @satvistayou It is not laws alone which rule us. It is our mind and your will which rules. If you are strong no law can break you. I hope you understand the rest.

  • I Salute the GUTS of this Ex- IAS Officer Mr.RAGHU for Standing Against Corruption... Folks from our side lets just be a Part of his Campaign by Signing in the Website stated by them... At least we have a Person who want to Erase Corruption... lets SUPPORT HIM WHOLEHEARTEDLY....

the CONTENT is CORRUPTION and we as Good Citizen should STAND AGAINST IT.

  • very boring....though its a good initiative its like a boring lecture...pls make an attractive video so that i may hav a good reach:( pls do it
