Max out the scores of all the straw hat crew members, then finish the story mode of a character (Any will do). At the end, it'll say you unlocked Brook.

I didnt understand it at first too. So basically I just played each Straw hat crew until his/her score reached its highest (999990000). That excludes Vivi.

how do you unlock brook?

keep playing with all characters in story mode, sometime after you unlock all the other characters he will be added. I know there is a time-played factor involved but I lack the specifics. I finished the game with all characters including the unlocked ones like Shanks and MiHawk, then I played a few hours with my favorites taking them to maximum reward when it was unlocked.

I unlocked Brook! I am not sure but it seems like the game has to be finished several times for him to appear, as I didn't have all cards and I didn't reach 999999900 Beri reward with all characters. It happened after finishing the game with KAKU for the second time

brook ate the yomi yomi no mi. thats a fruit that allows him to live 2 lives. he died on his first life and when his spirit reached his body to revive him the body of his were just a skeleton. thats why hes a talking skeleton. if u wanna know more then watch episode 338 of one piece.

In the game you have to play Story Mode or Versus Mode with all Strawhats (including Franky), until you get max bounty. When you win a fight, you see this bounty meter thing come up, which you could also call your score or whatever. You just have to make that 999,999,999.

All hints point to that he will join. He wants to sail the GL and meet Laboon from the other end, so it's more than likely that he's going to join. Plus, it fits the theme of odd characters for each position. Like a reindeer for a doctor and a cyborg for a shipwright, and now we're getting a skeleton for a musician. Just you wait, he will join!
