funny how the suspension changes speed as the bike picks up speed, i dont quite think thats how high and low speed compression damping works, however good attempt at fooling people into thinking this is real speed, however this ruins real videos credibility skill and heroism.

@thesiknik what do u mean by "suspension changing"?? we cant see the adjusting knobs....and yes the speed sensation is fake due to the fish-eye camera...ive been on the track at 7.50 and if u look at videos of cars going 7.50 on cars (exemple Subaru STi) u will see that it is a lot "slower" then that....but thats just the camera..its not the riders fault..

great riding, NO FEAR. at 4:40 he locked the rear wheel on the downshift even after blipping the throttle ? WHY? and he kept going like nothing happened. RESPECT

@28zoomy When you are braking that hard there is almost no weight on the rear wheel. Even perfect blipping won't prevent the rear wheel skipping, any engine braking at that point is enough to cause the rear wheel to lose traction. A slipper clutch helps limit this but the OEM unit is not as good as one that has been set up for racing. With a road that bumpy it's no surprise the back end stepped out a little bit.

@ChrisMag100 Then you've never spent any time riding and have no concept of what's possible. This was fairly routine and resembles what any other pro-level rider looks like in the cockpit.

None of that was sped up. Not one millisecond. Hand blips on the throttle? *chuckle*........some of them were pretty slow.

@ChrisMag100 While your logic appears sound, a few things don't add up to me. First - the lap is not a particularly fast one. Nowhere near a record run. In listening to the engine at or near redline it doesn't sound materially different from a 2011 ZX10R on a dyno at or near redline. Those videos exist on youtube to listen to.

The audio *could* be altered, but that begs the last question. Why? Why go to the trouble? There's nothing to win, nothing to gain or get paid for here. I

This time has been verified by a german motorcycle magazine in conjunction with Bridgestone that sometimes takes bikes around the Ring to see how fast they go. This was the first time that the track was closed just to race bikes so the bike can go as fast as it can and not get slower cars or bikes on the way.

@Stuntman175 The lap time might be accurate, but the video is definitely sped up on a number of parts. Everything between :30 and 1:02 for example. You can tell by his hand movements as be blips the throttle, for example.

I've done the kind of speeds he's doing on the same kind of bike (I wasn't driving, I was a passenger on a 2008 ZX10-R) and everything goes by really fast when you're doing 186 mph on a straight road. BTW, the video starts at 0:25 and ends at 8:17 which gives a lap time of 7:52 since this was timed in a gate to gate configuration. If the intro says that he did a 7:50 laptime, the video must slowed down in some parts, not sped up.

@rausgeschmissen Danke noch einmal für den Hinweis. Und auch noch einmal an alle anderen: Unser Fahrer Tim Röthig fährt seit Jahrzehnten auf hohem Niveau im Motorradrennsport. Er hat unzählige Runden auf der Nordschleife absolviert und weiß genau wo er was riskiert. Insbesondere auf der Nordschleife darf man nie an oder über die Grenzen gehen. Wer sportlich Motorrad fahren will sollte dies ausschließlich auf der Rennstrecke tuen. Z.B. mit dem motorrad-action-team oder dem PS-racecamp.

Bin nur etwas übersensibilisiert, weil es "hier" wieder eine Streckensperrung gegeben hat. Erst hab ich mich aufgeregt, aber letztendlich muß ich den Behörden recht geben. :( Es gab keine andere Chance. Na Ja.. da geht aber noch einiges warum geht er denn immer so früh vom Gas ?? Z. B. die Kuppe am Schwedenkreuz nimmt man normalerweise mit Vollgas und das bei über 280 .. dasselbe in der Fuchsröhre .. wenn schon dann aber bitte ab Arenberg mit vollgas bis und mit der Kompression vor Adenauer Forst und nicht immer halbherzig am Kabel ziehen.

Nettes Video aber da liegt noch viel mehr drin .. und bitte eine etwas mehr realistischere Schätzung der Rundenzeit !!

@FREIwildFREIbier Hallo, zu deiner Info: Fahre seit nun mehr als über 14 Jahren auf der NS und habe an unzähligen Kursen teilgenommen und mit vielen Instruktoren gefahren, wenn du mehr über die NS wissen willst dann frag doch einfach Helmut.

In letzter Zeit nehme ich nur noch an Kursen teil bei denen Freies Fahren erlaubt ist.

Was mich am Video stört ist das der Fahrer nicht konsequent fährt, und die NS verzeiht bekanntlich keine Fehler !!

@ixclus1ve Die Kamera war auf dem Tank befestigt. Im Ganzen ungefähr so groß wie ein Tankrucksack. So konnte Tim sich nicht wirklich hinter die Verkleidung klemmen was speziell auf den schnellen Passagen ein wenig "windig" ist.

@abrahamosi Wir hatten zwei Mikrofon-Systeme an der Ninja montiert. Eines vorne beim Fahrer was deutlich empfindlicher eingestellt war und sogar das Geräusch der Knieschleifer rüberbringt und eines hinten im Windschatten für die Abschnitte mit höheren Geschwindigkeiten. Im Schnitt haben wir dann zwischen diesen beiden Mikros hin und her geblendet um die extremen Windgeräusche zu reduzieren. Deshalb die Tonunterschiede.

Hi Xorbit, the "Nordschleife" is always big fun. No matter if you are sitting on a ZX10 or a CBF 500. And i think 10.30 on a CBF 500 is even more exciting than 7something on a 1000!!!!!!

@Battlax003 Thx, Battlax! Could've won some time by braking later but I didn't know the track very well. Did push it hard though. Exciting! Almost lost the front once. My Michelin Pilot Road 2's held up pretty well. A 52 hp motorbike doesn't need a sports tyre. The absolute cornering speed these tyres can achieve isn't bad really. But they can't cope with the sudden jerking forces of powerful bikes or quickly changing grip levels. So if you're gentle with them they're fine. (52hp=gentle :) )

You're insanely fast!! Did the Nordschleife three days ago on a lowly Honda CBF500 (about 10min30 sec on touring tyres) and I thought it was pretty quick but this is something else! Thanks for this excellent video. It think I saw your ZX10 on the 'ring parking lot sunday.
