@projectgadget the price way to high, but ok what happens when thos 6 months end how many channels you still get when they are over..? also does it used internet to get the channels or works like a regular tv does..?
@projectgadget Thanks for the info I going with a vizio portable tv... it has everthing i was looking for and them some, Thanks agein and great review anyways
@DrDuckDockin appreciate the feedback and you're right should be more channels (30-45 would be great). Ever think about how many channels you actually watch on tv?
@DrDuckDockin always great to hear that people like the videos. It's just my side hobby and surprising that almost all the reviews are products I buy myself. I was tired of the paid "bs" reviews so decided to do it myself since i spend so much time finding the coolest ones to buy. On a side note, have a cool solar charger going up today. thx
I have a phone with flo tv and its pretty nice. recently i got 3 channels for free somehow. I get a preview channel that randomly picks a channel for 20 mins and switches and now I get ABC NBC and FOX for free. I think its nice because there arnt many commercials in chunks between the show but they appear when the show is over. its nice to have when you dont have a tv in your room. one downfall is that sometimes it reruns shows and does not have the same show at any given time as my cable tv
frequency spectrum 716-722 MHz, which was previously allocated to UHF TV channel 55, That SUCKS, it means if you are indoor and not getting the TV signal you ain't gonna get anything. Phone signal penetrates better than tv signal in my location.
@noformstyle I would assume you need to test in your area. Go to Target and test it at the Flotv display, I never had a problem inside and even drove with it w/o issues. Give it a shot it rocks!
You are going to love the FLO TV, I know I took it everywhere I went for about 3 weeks! Plug it into a portable speaker or car input and really is a great combo.
Thank you for the clarification, i see now the MediaFLO system uses frequency spectrum 716-722 MHz, which was previously allocated to UHF TV channel 55.
thanks for the review i think i might get one for my birthday and i just thought it would be really nice if you could hook it up to your computer and download tv shows onto your flo tv so you could watch your favorites whenever you want but thanks for the review
The product is a lot of fun and really miss it. I had to send it back to Flo and really with that much content on 15 channels i really didn't see the need for additional content. Happy birthday!
@Brentsey that's the way it goes, RIP FLO TV

@MAPTOTHEFUTURE seems that FLOTV is going dark, didn't have enough demand I hear. Personally I thought it was a cool gadget!
projectgadget 1 year ago
So what your saying is you can get cancer while watching TV?
Bobster986 1 year ago
@Bobster986 when i made the video I made a mistake as it's not cellular but a retired TV frequency from UHF TV channel 55. Cancer free!

rockchalk290 1 year ago

does flo tv work in mexico?

@andresrockers I'm not sure it works in Mexico and would suggest you contact them. My guess is that it's US only.

who is the provider to subscribe with?
pkoicetr 1 year ago
@pkoicetr FLOTV provides the service directly, very cool to just turn on entertainment anywhere you are.
projectgadget 1 year ago
I would get it but the service cost to much
me1ization 1 year ago
@me1ization it's a fun service and I believe they give you the first 12 months free so average it out over 2 years and not bad.

Actually, FLO isn't based on cellular, but UHF Channel 55 (Freed up by the FCC mandated switch to digital here in the U.S.)
