  • Holy crap...I need to know the name of that bass trombone player!!!

  • @stantheman216

That is Hermann Bäumer (on a Lätzsch trombone), Berlin Phil. member from 1992-2003. He also played with the Triton Trombone Quartet. Nowadays he works mainly as a conductor. He is currently Generalmusikdirektor of the Staatstheater Mainz.

  • I IIKE SOLTI!

  • Awesome stuff. what's the orchestra?

  • @PapaBone69 Berlin Philharmonic

  • @PapaBone69 I think its the Berlin Philharmonic.

  • @ManIhTwoLinJay yes, it's the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by sir Georg Solti.

  • Now that is the way that the symphony must end. In the score there is NO indication that it is supposed to be drawn out like Bernstein did in his interpretation. The way that it is supposed to be, as in the score, it gives it a more triumphant ending.

  • Outstanding.

  • Fantastic!

  • 00:33 - Mvt. 1 (Moderato)

    16:07 - Mvt. 2 (Allegretto)
